Android 4.2 jelly bean

I know jelly bean 4.2 is out. Verizon takes FOREVER to release updates. Does anyone know where I can download the jelly bean 4.2 file onto my computer then install it on my RAZR M? I will greatly appreciate your help. Thank you

unfortunately its not that simple. You would need to have a rooted phone first and then you need to use fastboot to flash the new ROM over (No Recovery for the Razr M)

This is the proper section for your thread, I have removed your other post in the A Lounge as 2 thread are not required, I am sure some here will respond and help out, cheers

Why do people HAVE to have the latest "update" as soon as they hear about it? Yikes. Chill. If we get it, we get it. If not, we don't. The phone works fine as it is now...

I'd think that, at this point, the RAZR M has a better shot at KitKat than at either 4.2 or 4.3. Not that things are promising at this point. Though, since they're still selling it, it is possible.

I don't think 4.2 has anything except maybe the 360deg pano camera and the hard press for numbers keyboard to offer. The only reason I'm running an AOKP 4.2.x rom on my Gnex is for the 'ribbon'; freeing more screen space, but I'm thinking about going back to 4.1.2 for better stabliity. I don't recall being 'wowed' by the extra screen nor do I think I'll miss it when it's gone.

There's the downside to 4.2.x as well as it can screw your 'sdcard' directory all up and 4.3 takes it even further to set your device up for multiple user accounts like a pc. Really?? Save that stuff for a tablet.

my peso's worth
