Root Android 4.4 rumor

Yes I understand that but they were not there before... The only other Time "update" showed up was when we got the last one.. I was just pointing it out I know this is nothing official

I hope they update to 4.2 but I don't want kitkat on this phone. It will end using the SD card the way I want.

We would have been on 4.2 by now, from here on out it's either kit Kat or nothing.

My phone isn't officially on BM anymore but I'm not sure that matters since my Hydro got an update long after that was no longer on BM too (but now I'm not a customer anymore either). Hopefully I can refuse to download it if it does go out.

correct me if I'm wrong but I've heard a lot of people pissed about 4.4 because of something to do with copyright protection out in place so certain media files can't write to the external sd. I've talked to at least four people that said although there were many good things with 4.4, the negative aspects had them angry that they upgraded in the first place.
and you guys mentioned there won't be an ota update. does that mean that if we have modified or f7 with custom rom and kernel that lg won't provide the upgraded? Can someone please tell me some of the better features Associate d with 4.4? the rom I'm using now on my f7 4.1.2 rocks because of the extra memory freed up via swap support and there is also nice voltage control. is really easy to oc or uc the jellybean version. if my phone is deodexd will that prevent lg or boost from giving the update?
O do gotta say though when i first got this phone i was using a lot of new xposed mods and one of them out me in a bout loop i couldn't fix. i still sent it to the warranty department even forgetting to remove the cwm (pg version) and i think it was also provisioned equals 1
but lg was super cool and didn't even ask a question. as a matter of fact they sent me a whole new device (same model just fl diff set).
_there is one huge problem I'm having with the f7 and that is that it drops calls like crazy. is this something that can be improved upon with me firmware or a software patch or do you guys think it's strictly a hardware issue?
thanks in advance for any help. I'm not familiar with lg phones. i had the epic 4g touch (samsung) and it was such a great phone that i didn't see myself getting anything different for a while. but oh man am i glad i dropped it and cracked the glass because boost insurance sent this f7 which from what I've witnessed do far is a top notch phone! I'm surprised at the price class it's in. i really hate the stock lg operating system though it's even worse than touch wiz. but nova launcher prime makes it still close to being kit kat cosmetically anyways. OK I'll stop typing. sorry
Dave
ps the tweet at the top is for me or anyone else to refer to for questions on the phone model or rom

I've not seen LG follow thru on such promises before, so I am in the I believe when I see it boat. ;)

And I been running 4.4 on my Gnex since a week after it dropped and had no issues.

F260 = LG870/US780

The International Version of our device just started to receive the Kitkat 4.4 update. If LG decides they will update us as well which i see no reason not to, we wont see it for atleast another 2-3 months.

Well if your right chev we will get it in may, honestly i think you hit it head on.

O:
Is it possible to grab the stock update for that phone and flash it ourselves? Or would that require some modding? I know the kernels are incompatible, so I highly doubt that would be possible

No.
They're ways to do it but not worth it at all.

Just saying we are getting closer what are the pros and cons of kitkat ive never used it

if you're used to ICS/jelly bean, it might take you a while to get used to it. but once you're used to it, it's really cool!! personally, I like the music lock screen features the best, but that's because I haven't used it in depth
