Lets all get together and post some of our favorite recipes to cook, and share them with others! Doesnt matter if its dinner/lunch/drinks etc...

When I get home ill get started with one of my favorites, Baked mac n cheese with bacon and cornbread!

Gulyas (for some reason Americans spell this Goulash or Ghoulash)- my all time favorite.

We should be adding actual recipes here as well. I'll add one when I get home tonight (IF I remember)

I try to have it once a day as I am cursed with a fast metabolism so I need all the protein i can get to build muscle but I don't want to eat too much red meat

have you not tried it?

Beans on toast sounds nasty to me. lol I really care about the quality of my food. If you really need all the protein you can get, you should have protein powder in milk or something. You can EASILY get a lot of protein from poultry and dairy items. I love greek yogurt.

You are NOT cursed with a fast metabolism. That's like a slap in the face to anyone who's struggling to lose weight.

I hate protein powder.. makes me feel sick ..

I do eat a lot of chicken (chicken and soy sauce= yum) and I have some sort of milk every night (been told that's the best/worst time to have it)
I hate yogurt... like spreadable cheese

I know what you mean, but having a fast one is awful too... I'm so skinny (runs in family) and I dont get any thin benefits too (high cholesterol runs in family)

so ya see, I'm screwed ;)

I can cook other things, but not well enough.. need to learn how to cook proper before I go college.. wish my school had home economics :(

Awesome thread. I can not cook for the life of me so it'll be interesting to see some of the recipes posted

Mahi Mahi. Cooked through with Basil, salt and pepper. Easy and fast to make! There are also a lot of easy lemon butter sauce recipies on line that are quick an dinexpensive to make too. Not to mention easy.

*I forgot to add this special sauce*

One stalk of green onion-
Get three large lemons-
Two chili peppers (small ones)-
Soy Suace-

Squeeze the lemons into a small bowl. Add an equal amount of soy sauce as there is lemon juice. Chop up the green onions in to small pieces. Crush up one of the peppers (both if you like it hot) and mix it up.

Dip the fish into here. This is great for fish! An old recipie from my mothers side of the family. She is from Guam.

Isnt that want the pubs are for? Drink and drink some more?:p

Oh I do simple stuff like Baked mac and cheese. did I mention I use about 3 lb of shredded cheese ( half sharp cheddar and half mild cheddar) lol. I can cook but not the fancy dishes.

lol wut?
I won't get served at any pub lol, the only way I can get drink is off someone else

And what has that to do with my diet? lol
WellI thought many people over the pond considered drinking as the 5th food group. After all when I was in fairford england. THere was 4 pubs and the town only had 2 main roads.

yeah there is quite the drink culture over here in the British Isles but its not really the nutritious stuff that's consumed by the new generations and how is that relevant to me?

go to an asian market.. puchase:
the 12 inch french bread: normally 3-4 for a dollar
little 4 inch cumbers at the asian store (not from your local market)
celery..
dell pepper red and green

slice the spam as thin or thick as you want.. pan fry them.
slice the veggies as you like them...

make a sandwhich.... as you like...
it is really great! and a cold beer.

This may sound odd...but I eat this nearly every day.

Ingredients:

1 tortilla (any medium or large tortilla will do, I use whole wheat tortillas)
1-2tbsp hummus (I use Sabra roasted garlic or chipotle)
Shredded cheese to taste (I use colby jack)
About a 3rd of a cup of liquid egg white
Optional - your favorite hot sauce

Spread hummus on the tortilla & sprinkle the cheese over the hummus. Nuke for 50-55 seconds. While that's warming, fry up the egg white. Sprinkle hot sauce on the tortilla, then top w/ the egg white. Roll everything up, & enjoy.

Omlette yum.....fast food and good for you.....

1. Lightly oil a frying pan and then place on a full heat gas hob or electric ring. As well as lighting or heating your grill up to max.

2. Whisk 2 Eggs and half a mug of milk until you can no longer see clumps of egg yolk.

3. Grate a quarter to half a medium block of cheddar cheese.

4. Rinse some mushrooms and microwave (800w) them on full power for a minute.

5. Cut up your chosen meat, I prefer honey roasted or smoked ham slices, into as many small pieces as you can.

6. Pour the egg and milk mix into the pan immediately followed by the cheese evenly spreading it around, follow this with the your diced meat and then the mushroom.

7. Do not leave on the heat for any longer than 1 minute just enough time to brown the bottom of the Omlette.

8. As you'll see the top is still going to be runny. So place the pan under the grill.

9. Wait until the top turns the cheese golden brown and the omlette takes on a fluffy texture.

10. Remove from grill, plate up and chow down.

just made chicken wings last night.

For a marinade I mixed honey, soy sauce, garlic and onion powder, chili powder, crushed red pepper, black pepper and duck sauce. (not sure of the measurements I just wing it[no pun intended])

I pre boiled the chicken wings for around 5 minutes, then let them cool off. once they cooled i mixed the chicken and marinade in a bowl for a few minutes, then threw it in the fridge for about 4 hours.

after 4 hours, I re stired the marinade and put it all back in for around another 4 hours.

once it had marinaded for a bit i fired up the grill and cooked the chicken on high until they looked how I like it (since you preboiled the chicken it doesnt have to be on the grill too long)

Bistec Encebollado

1 pkg of cubed steak. Season with adobo on both sides of the meat. Get yourself a bowl. Place some extra virgin olive oil and vinegar in it (exact measurements, dunno) along with 2 tablespoons of minced garlic. You'll need diced onions too (preferably in whole circles). Let it marinate for 15 mins. Cook w/ the marinade juices medium-well. Enjoy. Kthxbai.

Just like what it says on the title. This is the place where you can share your own recipes to the world.

Now I'm not much of a cook but I try to invent something knew, anything that tastes good to me.

Here's one of my fave snacks to eat (I'm eating one right now!):D

Ripe avocado
Powdered milk
Sugar

Scoop out the avocado meat in a bowl. Put powdered milk and sugar on it. TADA! That's all

Also, instead of powdered milk and sugar, you can add vanilla ice cream, topped with syrup and cherries.
