We have boot! SuperR did you take out the browser? Its not a big deal if you did just want to make sure you did it and it just missing.
Nice :) I removed the stock browser since it came with Chrome. Should I remove Chrome instead of the stock browser? Let me know if there is anything else that needs to be removed or added back in.

No I'm fine with chrome, running through testing right now, so far everything works. I'm about to test GPS won't be able to test Bluetooth till after my wife gets out of class.

Ok reading up on virtual machine, teaching myself on it, sounds nice I'm gonna try that lets see what happens I gotta wait until I get off work today to do it

If you use virtual box, that's what I used, make sure you select Linux in the first, then other Linux x86/x64 in the second as the operating system, then you start the machine, it comes up with a box asking what you are using to boot the os. Select the little folder icon and manually locate the .iso file, double click it and it will take a second to boot. I had to click the USB icon on the bottom of the virtual box and select the zte one to make it see the device, then when you enter the command and it says waiting on device to boot, when you screen on your phone is black click the USB icon again and click the zte option again. It will boot your phone into the pseudo recovery. Flash recovery and flash the superuser and reboot your phone. You should now have root and recovery

What about the the bootable CD/usb I don't need that?
I will only help with the unbrick tool method (bootable CD/usb) because fastboot drivers in Windows are a pain. You can do it without the unbrick tool but you will need to figure it out on your own :P

I keep getting error status 7 when flashing the partition updater.
I am not able to test the partition updater because I don't own this device. Hopefully someone else will chime in and say whether it flashed for them. If it won't flash for anyone, I will look into it further.

It would be helpful if you go into the log in recovery. I believe it is under advanced. Let me know more about the error and what is causing it. Thanks

OK I got vertual box installed but I kept having problem with my adb and fastboot I'm gonna give it another shot tonight rooting this phone has become a challenge

To any one who want the new update, spare yourself...it's really laggy and don't live up to the hype. Just wait for a port or a custom 4.4.2 rom

im using the deodexed rom SuperR made after the update and its running smooth, he took out all the bloatware that isnt need to run the phone and everything works fine

I attempted to see if it would work without flashing the updater and just with the ROM on its own and it worked, it booted up and everything works except, the settings will crash if you attempt to go to Security and the phone will reboot if you try to clear data of apps, clearing cache won't work. The SD card gets very glitchy using it and music might or might not show up along with photos.
