Android Tv Box Flexiview FV-1

Avoid Bluetooth. Seems like the FV-1 has no HID profile (all you get is "paired but not connected") - At least not in the FW versions I've tried (haven't tried latest, to be honest).
You have to use 3rd party software like Blueinput (not free) to make it work, and even then, I had problems with the built in track pad of my kbd/trackpad combo.

Haven't tried, but i think you can use a bt headset, but no mic. In other words, it sends audio over BT, but doesn't receive audio.

That's very annoying to me, and considering that the FV-1 has no microphone input, why would the developer not include the full BT audio profile????

Is there any hope for this (can it be hacked?), or is it a case of waiting for the dev to include it in a firmware update?

Perhaps it is a hardware limitation?

Has anyone worked out how to 'pinch to zoom' when playing angry birds, using the wireless keyboard/mouse combo? Is it possible?

I'm using one of Rockchip tv box, with my RF Wireless keyboard/touchpad (Visenta V1). I still found no way to zoom out Angry Bird screen; make me a little angry :)

Sorry to say this but it is a little difficult to understand what you are trying to say. Are you watching a movie copied to your USB device connected to the FV-1? And when you are doing that you are being brought back to the Home screen in 10 minutes or so? If this is the problem you are having, could you tell which media player you are using to play the movie? What format is the movie (mkv, divx avi etc.)? Try with a different player and also try copying to SD card and see if if you are experiencing the same issue. Dont think it is a firmware problem or the FV-1.

I really can't see no way of pinch zooming with a mouse (or "Wii" remote).

With this keyboard you can use gestures, but I don't know if work with android Tv

I wish I could help you, but I think your translation is not quite right! It doesn't make much sense in English, but it is very funny! hahaha :D

Sorry for laughing, I hope someone can answer your question.

Laughter is healthy but my English is weak !!

That's OK! :)

I "think" you are having problems with movie / video playback? Try the following and see if it helps:

* If you are using a USB stick, try your movie on another (different) USB stick
* Do not use a USB hub (if you are using one?)
* Try your movie on a SD card
* Try some different movie / video players (download these in the 'Market')
* If you are running many apps (non-standard ones that you downloaded from the 'Market' etc), them make sure all non-essential apps are killed before running your movie (download an "app-killer" to kill apps easily).

They are very basic tips, but give them a go (if you have not done them already).

Good luck!

Also install CPU notify.Which helps you to keep a check on the CPU status

A little help for those who can not make the sdcard updatekit.

In this packet:

Fv-1_Firmware_20111008.rar

I have included the software "Win32 Disk Imager" and a complete image of my 2gb sdcard UpdateKit with 20111008 firmware.

Download the packet, extract where you wont, open the folder Win32DiskImager, double click on Win32diskimager.exe, in IMAGE FILE locate the file Fv-1_Firmware_20111008.img then in DEVICE select the letter of your SdCard, the press WRITE.

The program write image on 2gb SdCard or bigger.

Update your Fv-1 :)

Nice work friend. You have done something good.

Any solution for the Sd tools not working always.

For Me Sd tools is detecting the card and it shows sucess,But i believe its not working.
Once it showed success and auto open the sd card drive with some unreadable format files. That card worked for me.
What is the normal reaction of a successful update ?

What is the method for updating from the system update option ?

If you try to read the sd card updatekit from windows, is not readable, but this is normal. There is no way to verify from windows unfortunately.

Use this procedure for System Update Option:

in the root directory of the SD card, create a directory "UpdateKit" (note the uppercase and lowercase letters) and copy into the update file and rename it to android.osk. Go to "Settings" and choose "Update System". Discovery System updater window, press "Next" and a window will appear Backup software, press "Skip" or "Continue". Start window will appear to update, select "Start" and begin copying the file and then update verification. If everything is OK is performed, and will show a pop-up window inviting you to restart the device, click "OK". On the front panel both light LED, green LED lights. Wait until the GREEN LED starts flashing after a while, the device restarted and run it. You're done.

Can we keep the update kit in the existing Sd card along with other files ? Or it updates only with the formatted Sd card with no other files in it

I think This method doesn't require any root or so.Any how good & easy method and of course cool explanation.

Here is another method explained by our friend Zilver
The problem with this method, is that it seems like you must have root to do it.
  • If you have root, you can mount the filesystem writable (R/W) with ES File Explorer.
  • Create a folder named UpdateKit under the /data folder on FV-1 (/data/UpdateKit)
  • Copy the firmware .osk file into this folder (/data/UpdateKit/U110781_1109050_HW.osk)
  • Rename U110781_1109050_HW.osk to android.osk (/data/UpdateKit/android.osk)
  • Reboot (unplug and plug) the FV-1 and the update process will start.
The upgrading takes about 5 minutes. During the upgrading process, the green LED indicator on your Android TV stays on. When the upgrading is complete, the green light flashes. If the upgrading fails, the light turns off.

Anyone have tried using an app from android phone to control FV-1?

This app: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.arcoid.advancedtouchpadfree&hl=it or others

I not try this app because i not stay to my home. Return next week.
Unfortunately, it seems like it's for remote controlling a Windows computer, and requires a special server component installed on the Windows computer. Until someone writes a similar server that can run on an Android device, I don't think it can be used with the FV-1
