FV1 Adhoc WIFI? Anyone???
Hello all. I have tried all the usual tricks for getting my FV1 to connect to an Adhoc WIFI hotspot (my iPhone 3gs with MyWi) but I have had no luck at all. All of the wpa_supplicant.conf "hacks" that I know of do not seem to work on the FV1. (It seems that the device does not know what to do with the "ap_scan=2" line?)
Has anyone been able to get Adhoc WIFI support working on the FV1? Please let me know if you have! I need this!

Also, here is my "mini review" of thr FV1 afer a few days of use:
My FV1 with the latest October firmware is going great. Web browsing, video playback (from HDD and online flash) is very good. Game playback is also impressive. So far I am very happy with my purchase!
A few "interesting" points:
- z4root could not be found in the "Market". I had to manually install this.
- "Superuser" did NOT automatically install with z4root. I was able to install this as a seperate app from the Market. Before I did this, programs did not have the correct permissions to do what I wanted (i.e "root explorer" and "LCD Density Changer" would run, but not allow me to save changes.)
- LCD Density Changer app set at "200" looks great on my TV. (Icons look excellent on the screen)
- Many apps are not available in the Market (such as Facebook).
- Some pre-installed apps wont allow updating in the "Market". They display a "Can not install, app not signed correctly" message... (I wonder if manaully removing the pre-installed app, then attempting to install the "Market" app would fix this???? Anyone tried this?)
- Facebook is pre-installed and works fine, but it keeps telling me that an update is available (inside the app, not in the Market), but I can not update it as the Market cant find it...
- The remote control works but is frustrating to use for long peroids of time. A wireless keyboard and mouse works perfectly!
- Cant perform "Adhoc Wifi Hacks" so far... (please comment if you have a solution!)
Apart from these "chalenges" it is a great device, and all main features work well (many better than I expected). I am using it now to write this post with Firefox browser.
Cheers,
Pez
