AndyX ROM

guys how come if i switch my launcher from twlauncher to other launchers builtin i cannot open my text messages icon?

this is what it says.

twlauncher = works fine.

trebuchet = app isn't install

nova launcher = works fine

apex launcher = this activity cannot be launched.

any idea how those two launcher wont open the txt message?
 
Just to update on my battery issue. I unistalled AndyX11 because I found the battery drain absolutlet horrendous I got about 7 hours out of a full battery and actually lost 30% overnight when I tested it.

I went to Wannam lite and the battery life has been amazing 20% lost with medium usage after 10 hours with wifi , auto sync on, phone calls texts and loads of emails. So for me Wannam is a lot more reliable and stable at the moment but I will keep an eye on future updates of AndyX.
 
icon picture is not working anymore? each of the numbers on my phone book has a picture but everytime i received a text and call from them the picture doenst appear no more? anyone experienced the same problem i have?
 
Try to do it from Internal storage. Some have problems when installing from external storage. Did you do 4 wipes?

thanks for the super quick reply, i posted a little to quick, i think i got a bit nervous as i havn't ever put a rom on before, i have got it to work now its installing :)
 
Big thank you for this, first time putting a rom on my phone and it was very easy, really love the rom and how it looks :)

i have one question if anyone can help: when a new version of AndyX comes out am i able to just install it over the top of v11 and it will keep my apps / settings etc as they are, or would i always have to do a clean install each time?

I generally do a
* Wipe cache

* Wipe Dalvik cache

* Wipe battery stats

then flash the update,everything is exactly the same as before,doesnt hurt to do a backup if your worried somthing might go wrong.;)
 
I've been going berserk today on AndyX and Wanamlite trying to get BLN to work.
I've tried Siyah and Neak, got BLN enabled in the market app, but in about 20 tests, it has only actually ever worked once, so this must have been a fluke!

Is anyone else on AndyX (or indeed Wanamlite) having BLN problems?

I will be going back to CheckROM on good old GB soon if I cant get this solved.
 
i have another question sorry, hope people dont mind me asking here.

on the lock screen when i get a text, i no longer see it showing as i have a text and being able to swipe the text and go straight to it from the lock screen.

is this just the way this rom is or can it be changed to show it again on the lock screen?
 
I don't know about stock messaging, but Handcent still pops up at the lock screen.

thanks for the reply and i really like this rom :)

in a future release it could be good if as well as swiping left on the lock screen to go to the camera, then right to unlock the phone if maybe there was a swipe up feature that could go directly to a new text as you get one?

either way im very happy, and the above would just be a nice addition :)
 
I get "%1$s is now running" on the pop up menu of the stock browser. It actually is the page search function.

I also have an odd one trying to change lockscreen wallpaper. I only get 1 app to allow selection, "Wallpaper Gallery" which only allows stock Sammy wallpapers to be selected. I dont get "Gallery, Quick Pic" etc as I do when I go into selecting a homescreen wallpaper.

I noticed this too mate. But the notifications bar at the top can be dragged down even on lock screen to quickly access your texts and email.

One thing I have noticed is the stock browser on Andyx has pulled all of my bookmarks from Firefox on my PC. :confused: Not quite sure how this happened though.

Gone back to this rom as found the contacts on Wanamlite to be a mess, all over the shop and it wouldn't let me update them.

One thing I am happy about is the fact my GPS now gets a lock in seconds. It's been woeful on Checkrom Revo 4 and 6. :rolleyes:

Did you select that as default by accident? I'm still on v11.0 and when i select lock screen wallpaper it gives me lots of options, long as I select GallerySBEDemo. In your applications do you have both Gallery and GallerySBEDemo?
 
I uninstalled GallerySBEDemo as I prefer the ICS version, and didnt want the extra option in my popups. I get all the options for selecting homescreen wallpaper, but not for lockscreen.
I've tried re-installing this gallery version but it wont let me.

Edit: I managed to install that demo gallery by creating a CWM flashable zip. Now when I try to select a lockscreen wallpaper, firstly it shows "Gallery SBEDemo" and "Wallpaper Gallery" and then if i select the demo gallery, I then get my expected list of apps (quickpick, gallery etc) Not as I expected, but at least it works.

I seem to have a problem. Updated to Siyah 3.1.2+, yesterday. Since that I've been having problems to connect to the internet through VPN. I had no problems with this earlier. It tries to connect, but after a period of time I get "timeout". I have no problems to connect to the internet through regular VPN on my MAC and the phone has no problems finding WIFI connection.
