Another SGS2 preview woohoo!

Lol you beat me to it. OMG that two thumb zooming is so cool. I wonder how far I can zoom if I stretch it out all the way and then smack the phone into my nose.

I wonder if the Evo 3D will come out first. It has MHL too. Might even be the first to market to do so. I still don't know what Bluetooth 3.0 does, but my Wave had it :)
 
That video of the 3 phones being compared is the best video I've seen of the Atrix performing. Still, SGII is my fav. It's accidentally smooth. That's how responsive it is I so hope All US CARRIERS get it in this flavor besides slight design wise. No TEGRA and no Super Clear LCD.
 
I'm liking what they did with Touchwiz...this and the upcoming LG phones are on my radar heavy just based on the UI.

The upcoming LG phones also got that tilt to swipe feature, dont know about the zooming. Nice.
 
Those videos look very impressive. Very smooth and responsive. Looks like Sammy worked hard to address issues in the original Galaxy S. Even the new TouchWiz UI looks much better though it's probably still unfinished version.

I really wish for Verizon to get this phone even without LTE radio. Otherwise I will strongly consider switching to AT&T-mobile to get this one with HSPA+.
 
Why can't they use names like Vibrant 2, Captivate 2, Fascinate 2? That's more in line with number two in SGS2 and will be recognized easily as sequel of previous Galaxy S version in each carrier.
 
I'm hoping the US names are: Liver, Pancreas and Colon.

That will also add to the fun when discussing your phone:

"My Liver seems to have a yellow tint"

"Trying to download, but my Colon seems to be blocked"

Etc...
 
I think we can expect these between May & June. Verizon leaked their Spring Road Map & it showed a good number of super phones. SGSII was one of them & it said May. It's whatever Sprint makes theirs into or NS4G. Maybe both.

No doubt the phone is large, but people's giant hands make it look tiny, lol

Lmao! I thought his hands were pretty fat as well. But that comment was so random. That was my laugh for today.

The only thing I don't like about most vidoes without people actually talking is that when they handle the phone they look pretty silly/dumb. Show certain areas multiple times and touch it over in and over like the video above. What does that do for the viewer?

I thought this was new but apparently it's old. It's pretty lulz worthy anyway so for anyone who might have missed it. I have a hard time believing that guy is from the USA and that kid is from Hong Kong. And an old granny using a smartphone...

I think this is the best news by far on the SGSII. It's a set back but it'll be worth it. Samsung Galaxy S II Dual Core CPU Getting Bumped Up to 1.2GHz

We thought the Exynos was dumb fast already, I'm sure .2 added to it will do some more damage. I hope the US is lucky with a Exynos batch. I don't know anything about the Tegra being bumped to 1.2ghz I think the 1ghz Exynos would of done just well against a 1.2ghz but this is great news that they are giving it some love.

Oh, and the video above is awesome. I do not need to know what he is saying to know what I like in that video. Every video I see a little something I haven't seen before about the phone. Like that zoom feature where you tilt the phone. Man, just the way it is designed is awesome. So powerful but so thin. The screen size is perfect of how they used the space. A true phone to hold on to a successor. I'm not even thinking of the next one right now. I just hope no big bug or something of bad luck comes on the day of launch week. But since it is a push back due to a bump in speed, I will get a NS4G for my device and then buy the SGSII for Sprint when it comes out. Pure and the best Dual core phone. Both by Sammy. Have the latest updates on a phone that is already sweet and fluid on a day to day use now with 4G, and a beast of a phone that will be king for a while in what I think a phone should be.

I would think that to, but you have the iPhone 4 commercials doing the same thing when they over hyped FaceTime. You'd be surprised who actually uses it.
 
I don't think FaceTime is overhyped. Beats Qik and Fring unless you are a NERD. :D That Granny using the phone to remember things... And I've seen lots of Hong Kong people. He doesn't really look Chinese at all...

AnandTech previewed the Exynos and showed that Tegra2 is still faster in Flash and I believe a few other areas.

I'd rather have Tegra 2, personally.
 
COOL new features in Samsung Galaxy II UI

Features are:
Slide to scroll between homescreens (also works on apps page)
New widget pick. (drag to screen og just click... notice the icons tilt when scrolling fast)
"Drag" widget/icon do another page by tilting phone.
Change size of widget (only for widgets that are compatible)
Preview widget before placing on screen (compatible widgets only)
Zoom photos by holding with two fingers and tilt phone (you can still pinch)
New Mail View (gotta love that BIG screen)

When I say over hyped I mean how dramatic they make their commercials look and the little videos of their "All over again", 'Magic", & etc. I do agree that it does work pretty well and quality wise. They just make what's already good seem better then what it is. Like it's perfect. I was just trying to get the point of the old lady in the Sammy S II video and the older people in the Apple videos both use a Video Chat and you wouldn't expect it to be them or going down how it does in the videos. So jolly like. lol

I still don't think this phone is getting the attention it deserves. When it comes to the states and our phone tech blogs get their hands on it for reviews and what not, it'll blitz. I mean look at it. I haven't been so hyped for a phone like this since the original Evo and before that was the Hero, and before that was the Touch Pro II. No such thing as perfect but this is damn near.. I really hope no issues come up when it all goes down. It just seems like one those things that sound so right, something is bound to happen.

It won't be that larger than Galaxy S. Though S2 screen is larger at 4.27", the outer area around it is smaller.

I don't take that early benchmarks by them seriously any more. That was just early proto-type with unfinished drivers. I'm sure it will beat Tegra2 in most categories if not all. The only worthy competitor to it is TI OMAP4 in my mind.
 
Looking at the last clip posted, it does do the tilt to swipe and zoom. Nice. I thought you would have to move the entire phone a whole to do that.

This and the two LG phones are looking like real winners, and thats just based on the UI. I'm one of those that dont mind UI's on Android.

All the major UI's: Blur, Sense and Touchwiz all seem better with the latest versions. It may be hard for some of yall to believe but the version of Blur thats on the Bionic is nice. Finally...lol.
