Root any exchange help

long story short....my son decided to "surprise" me and updated my rooted DX with the gingerbread update. he snooped around and did it by maderstocking and then installing the OTA update.

after realizing my "surprise" and discovering that i cannot set up my exchange account (which i really need) i took him out of my will.

now, i have tried everything i possibly could as far as getting my exchange account to work...touchdown, k-9, etc. nothing has worked.

is there any solution to this problem without going to my employer's IT dept. and asking to change something (i read it in a post somewhere)? i am aware that since the gingerbread update exchange has been a HUGE issue.

also, am i pretty much screwed as far as being stuck with the gingerbread update? the option to SBF is out of the question.

is it possible to go into the recovery and select the " install from sd card" option and install the maderstock that i have saved on it?

just for info...my phone is not rooted anymore due to the "surprise" and is basically stock.

i do not have a computer. both hard drives on both of my laptops crashed and burned. funny thing is they crashed during my downloads pertaining to the rootable gingerbread. i dont know why...but they did.

Use the linux cd on someone else's PC so you don't have to install anything on their PC.

i use a thumbdrive now, because my RSD lite just for some reason decided to take a dumb, it will not even begin the sbf process.

SBF ia the only way back to Froyo...if you want rooted Gingerbread maderstcok wouldn't have worked anyway...

I don't know much about exchange supplier...but was under the impression that GB worked quite well with it...
