Any new phone rumors for Sprint?

That LG Nexus is already dead to me lol. The Padfone 2 looks nice! As for the Note 2, I wonder what the full price will be.

Looks like they are saying $299.99 for Sprint GNote 2. Quad-core Exynos is interesting. Anyone know if this is based off of A9 or A15 arch?

That LG Nexus is already dead to me lol.

Being that the previous stuff we saw was all prototype - I'm hoping the specs will change ever so slightly.

The Verge also posted a review of the LG Optimus G, for both AT&T and Sprint. Oddly enough, the 13MP camera on Sprint's version (which is essentially the global version) is lacking compared to AT&T's 8MP camera. The comparison pics are like night and day, and make me wonder if a software update could fix that. That said, the AT&T version is full of bloat while the Sprint version is pretty clean. Well, clean for LG, that is... I'm personally not a fan of their skin.

The best news of all this however is that if the rumored LG Nexus is indeed based on this phone, it will likely be one kick-ass device if it gets a storage bump. Those who need a removable battery and/or storage will still need to look elsewhere, but performance on stock JB should be killer (and the rumored 8MP camera may be the better choice if it's like the one on the AT&T Optimus G).

Oh, and PadFone 2... drool.

Edit: October 25th release date for the Note 2 confirmed by Sprint! Drex, you can add that to your list. :)

Yup. Gonna update shortly.

Bold 4G LTE Lineup from Sprint Gains Four New Powerhouse Devices

Only 1 mystery LTE device remaining for 2012. What could it be?

Rather than relying on the different website links, here's the "official" press release from Sprint:
Sprint Newsroom | Samsung Galaxy Note II with Sprint 4G LTE Available Oct. 25 for $299.99

My favorite part of the press release:
Following the same business-friendly path, Galaxy Note II is a SAFE™ (Samsung for Enterprise) device, providing the ability to securely sync corporate email, calendars, contacts and sensitive information. SAFE provides a comprehensive approach to making Android devices more secure and manageable for business users. With a thorough quality assurance process in place to test and confirm the Note II enterprise capabilities, SAFE systematically meets the rapidly evolving needs of IT and the growing number of businesses allowing employees to “bring your own device” (BYOD) to work.
That means, no problems for my IT department switching my active sync when I upgrade.

Interestingly enough, I can't seem to find any indication on the formal press release that the $299 price tag is attached to the 16gb version. I really hope that the price tag means they're starting at the 32gb version, just like the Optimus G.

awesome..

what size memory? 16, 32 GB?

what is this i read..sprint version will have GSM radios .. and might be a world phone??? will there be a sim slot???

I didn't even notice the mention of international capabilities.

That said, It's likely a locked, non-accessible SIM that can work, using Sprint's International roaming rates (which really wouldn't be worth it).

So does that mean you are going for the Note 2 as the final offer? lol

TS

Final Answer.

Is the winning prize a free Note 2? :D...LOL...well, practically, since Best Buy has an extra $50 waiting for me to use by the end of December and I have gift cards all set to pay majority of the costs!

You have chosen wisely.

Looks like the Note 2 is the big winner for the fall lineup so far. Damn I wish there was a Nexus version. Lol

Wish Sprint would say whether or not they're getting the LG Nexus...

I'd prefer this over the LG Optimus G mainly because of the software support from Google.

If the Optimus G comes out November 11 as announced, then when would one expect the LG Nexus to come out?

Again, they're virtually the same phone... so it'd be weird if Sprint got BOTH but who knows

It's physically not bad looking, but 2100mah still? That's really asful.

The Sprint variant of the One X, the LTEvo, came with a bigger battery than the X, perhaps the same will happen here.

The LTEvo is very power efficient. I'll be interested to see if this is more so, or anemic as you suggest.

Give it an SD card and a kickstand, and I present the Evo 5G (why not, they're already claiming that (probably) Sharp display is Super LCD 3).

In any case, that's going to be the HTC Nexus 5 platform, if they make one.
