Wow I missed this post. lol I'm not due for an upgrade until 2014. But if the GS4 comes out with specs that I can't simply ignore, I'll pay full price.

I strongly disagree. To the general consumers, that's definitely important to them. That goes beyond bragging rights.

Of course it's bragging rights,providing a product w/the features everyone wants, in a timely manner.
One needs to look no further than the MO'PHO, promises that were never delivered.
Rooting/ROMS is not always the answer, as many, but not all ROMS seem to have some basic flaws. (see PHOTON broken 4G when unlocked).
As for the NEXUS line, the stock ANDROID experience is tops, but, the hardware to date is less than stellar.

Did you see those pics of Verizon's Note 2? OMG. That home button. It looks like a cheap toy with Verizon's label plastered on it. And here I thought Sammy would have enough clout to keep such awfulness off their devices from now on.

LOL...I felt bad, but at the same time kept thinking, "Thank you, Sprint, for not doing that!" I bet people cover that thing up with some kind of colored skin/screen protector.
That Verizon thread is getting a bit rough over that home button and no 32Gb. lol
The only thing I like about Verizon is cable here in NYC, beats Time Warner in price (but I do miss NY1) but phones and plan wise, they suck. guess being a duopoly makes them dictate what they want on a device and go against the rest in the group.

Fios is awesome (wish they had it in my area). I'm stuck on TWC and the only thing great about them is being able to watch my Lakers.

I'm guessing w/some careful masking of the area surrounding the home button, one could lightly sand off the logo or use a solvent (acetone, etc..) on a cotton swab.
Anyone wanna try one of these methods out on a demo @ their local VZW store? (w/the store managers' approval, of course).

There are people on Sprint site saying that a Corp Sprint store confirmed 32gb would be available online but I still see nothing official. More misinformed folks or did I miss something?
Looks like stores are not counting on big sales though, so many will be sold out. Hmmm.. I may just order online and not worry about it.

This should help remove the Verizon logo.
yeah that Sprint community forum post states that two places are claiming to have the 32GB Note 2, the Sprint store on 170 Broadway in lower manhattan and the other at the Newport Mall in Jersey City. price $399 for the 32GB, but since every time I call them tonight I got a busy signal, I could not confirm. I called a few other stores and everyone else is saying 16GB. So i do not know whether to believe it.

Their new logo will be Yellow box with black NOW inside that. The O in Now will be the green Clearwire Swish with two grey horizontal lines (Softbank) inside that! I guess if Metro must be a part of it, they could keep the Unlimit Yourself line at the bottom of the yellow box. Or just go back to Sprint PCS.
Ok, you'll just have to use your brain to imagine cuz I'm on a POS iMac and there's no way I'm going to use this to do it.. lol Oooohhh, but tomorrow someone can do a mock-up with their amazingly awesome Note 2!!!!!

iPhone converts getting up to minute updates believe it - with an os years behind in features, Android needs those updates too, even though that defies reason. Apple showing off making upgrades years after the fact isn't as pertinent as the blogosphere says.
And we power users want the greatest. Want to stand stock JellyBean up against my tuned ICS rig? Forget butter, bring something better like Parkay because you're gonna lose.
Should we be getting more timely updates in keeping with our consumer rights? Absolutely, you bet, it's what we were promised.
But what the majority expects? Ok, I won't kick, but I will ask - which majority? What were they told what was meant by that?
