Any new phone rumors for Sprint?

Their Android catalog in Japan is huge. Shortly after people here wanted a "retinal" display, Sharp had one there already. Exact same screen size and resolution. I was told that it was top quality to boot.

They keep telling us we want thin. According to those impressed by the almost one millimeter thickness reduction in one of the new models coming, that's evidently true. In Japan, they get waterproof instead.

I was in the rain when my phone rang, of course, I didn't answer it. The Japanese standing near me looked around to see who wasn't answering. When they saw me, their faces changed to one of polite understanding and they nodded. And went back to texting and talking.

It was at that moment that I knew that we were doing it wrong.

Talk about the makings of a commercial,a la SAMSUNG GSIII dissing the iPhone crowd ............ ;)

This was hilarious! ROFLMAOOOOO @ polite understanding.

For those waiting on the Note 3

Report: Samsung meeting with AT&T execs to showcase Galaxy Note 3

So, speculation is that the 6.3 inch is for the "budget" version and the 5.9 is for the high-end Note 3? That's the oddest thing I've heard with all the new phone rumors.

Now, what I do like hearing is the expectations that Samsung will somehow be able to fit a 5.9 inch screen in the same size (or smaller) form factor than the current Note 2. If that's the case, I take back what I said about 5.9 inch screen being too big. I'm a 'bit skeptical about that though, considering the height of the Note 2 is 5.94. A 5.9 inch screen fitting in a phone that's only 5.94 in height overall? That would be impressive.
That rumor doesn't make sense. The larger screen is cheaper? Maybe different screen tech? Who knows. We'll find out down the line.

I'm guessing the internals won't be the latest & greatest. Not a slouch by any measure, perhaps the same chipset that's currently offered in the SGSIII or NOTE2.No S-PEN support perhaps?Just speculating.Otherwise,it just doesn't add up.

I'm guessing AT&T will take a pass on this 6.3" model & offer the NOTE3.

In that same SamMobile tweet today, they mentioned 2 more rumored devices. The Galaxy Fonblet 5.8 and Galaxy Fonblet 6.3

Fonblet???? Really? that's the name?

TS

That rolls off the tongue so smoothly........;)

Might as well call it the EDSEL.:D

or better yet the 'FONZFONE or FONZBLET,for those of you who remember "HAPPY DAYS"........

I'd put money on the latter sticking before the former.......:p

Truthfully, I'm not all that impressed by the SGS4. Something told me that it wouldn't live up to the hype. It appears that I will be waiting for the next round of super phones. While the HTC One is pretty, I don't feel like I NEED to upgrade right now. For the first time in a very long time, I am very content with the device I currently own. That doesn't happen very often.

Yeah, if you have the S3 then I see no reason to go get the S4. Unless you want the latest and greatest. I think the S3 is getting some of the software that the S4 has eventually.

As for me, I'm waiting to see what the fall lineup will bring. I'm interested to know more about this X Phone. The Note 3 is on top of my list though.

I hate TouchWiz, so that's not even like a deciding factor for me. Before my SGS3 was even activated, I had it rooted and ROM'd (AOSP). Like you, I am intrigued by the Moto "X" device as well. Given the rumors, it could be something I might consider.

I often snatch up my son's iPhones (4S & 5) and despite the screen clarity I cannot go back to anything under 5.5".
I'm definitely one whose looking forward to the Note 3 and can't say enough I hope those rumored sizes are incorrect. I really could go for 6" or more.

I just now remembered the turmoil over the Evo's 4.3" screen and how goofy we all supposedly were digging that, and your post just made me smile from ear to ear. :)

Well, if TS's theory is right, one of the carriers might get a phone enabled Note 8...lol...or, you could just try using screen share

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.springdesign.screenshare.browser.server

I posted a thread about that in the Note 8 forum, but seemed appropriate here also.

I remember going into a Best Buy and taking a picture with my Touch Pro with my fingers wrapped around the dummy phone (w/ the security wire connected) and putting some minds at ease (including my own) with regards to the overall physical dimensions of the EVO. I did the same with the Note 2 (which was far easier for me to grasp than the original Note). For me, the EVO was surprisingly way more comfortable than expected. My reaction to the Note 2 was actually what I expected when the EVO first released (where it was right at the edge of my comfort level). That's the part of me that feels that anything larger, I'd prefer a flexible screen form over a static hard screen.

I was hoping that the rumors were right, regarding Samsung being ready to create and release flexible screen phones. At the same time, I'd prefer that taking another year so that I could swoop one of those up by the time I'm upgrade eligible again.

LOL! I remember all the forums I was on being PUMPED UP! No one could tell us new Evo owners that we weren't all that 'n a bag of chips. We acted as if we each had our very own HTC rep personally deliver us unto Evo. :D

My neighbor who hasn't consisted another upgrade is still using hers. She said she was going to slap me sideways the next time I said "I don't know how you can do anything on that little screen."

My next phone needs to print money so I can buy my own island and then be able to turn into a jet and fly me there.

I don't care what anyone says about the new stuff. I want more geebees.

LoL about all that and a bag of chips, now I have Lil'BowWow playing in my head! :D

Hahaha...that's hilarious. And yes, we did all act like that. I barely sold mine last year, since one of my family members couldn't really get used to using an all touchscreen phone. Still got 50 bux for it, just the phone. It was all scuffed up and everything, but definitely a good return considering its condition.

DrEx I saw that thread. I didn't notice yesterday but they also have ScreenShare (tablet) in the play store.
Haven't tried it yet. Jury is still out.
I find apps like this having pros if you're stationary but mobile they're pointless.

LOL! Sorry EM. :D

I don't know if you ever heard/read how I got my Evo. I didn't pre order. I thought I could just waltz on into Sprint launch day and get one. They wouldn't sell me one no matter what. Told me they only had stock for those who pre ordered (I have a rant about that but that's for another thread).

I went home and called EVERY Sprint store in PA, NJ, DE & NY. Feeling defeated I decided to go to BB and spend money (on nothing important).
As I'm exiting BB a SUV with Sprint on the side pulls in.

I approach this woman and say I have a "complaint".... as I'm sharing my Evo woe is me story, she pulls hers out (the nerve), makes a phone call and 10 min later I got my brand new Evo from one of the very stores who told me they were all sold out and wouldn't have any inventory for a couple of weeks due to backorder.

The End.

Should've clarified. The Phone and Tablet apps only work in conjunction with one another. I don't have my tablet yet, so I can't really test.

It's a mirroring app, so the tablet doesn't need to have 3g/4g/wifi connection to mirror what's on the phone. The youtube video kinda explains it, but until I get my tablet, I can't really test it out. The CEO that made the youtube clip says it's not a tethering app, which makes me think it might be more reliable than FoxFi for people not rooted.

But the purpose of apps like FoxFi is to connect to the Internet. Since this is simply mirroring what's on the phone I cant see how this would be more reliable than FoxFi. 2 apps with 2 different purposes.

Please elaborate DrEx.
