Root Anybody running CM7 source?

It won't be going stable.

Gridlock is just doing these until the Cyanogen team starts posting the Nightlies.

Which they said would be in about a week.

I am confused. They wont be releasing Cyanogen 7.0 or 7.1 or whatever the same way 6.1 was released?? We will only see it in the nightlies?

Once I get my new SD card, I will download this but was figuring I could wait until it was coNSIDERED STABLE AND ON ROM manager.

I am not a new rom-flasher, ive probably gone through maybe 8-10 different ones.

I am very picky, i can usually find fault with a paper bag lol.

I must say, i am absolutely floored with this rom. Or blown away, or any other way of saying i am in love with it.

Ive only had it installed for a few hours, and everything i touch, i love!!

The most recently was when i went to add my typical "Power Control" widget. I couldnt believe there were options in there for what i can have show on there! Then i was blown away by how many options!

Then i saw i can disable the lock screen?? wtfff my mind is in orgasm mode right now.

Cannot believe i held out so long.

Or is this all Gingerbread stuff? Either way, i love it and as long as this #38 doesnt fail on me, and as long as #39+ doesnt offer anything new and exciting .. i am sticking with this.

Those are CyanogenMod features. They can be found in his previous roms as well.

But still, this rom is very nicely done.

The only things that I don't like so far about this rom are the tiny 3G and 1X symbols and the 4 bar battery meter. And those are very minor things that may be re-done in a future release?

WOW i just read about the last 10 pages in the XDA forum and this looks quite impressive once my batt is done charging i am wiping OMGB6 and going with CM7 ... cant wait looks exciting :-D

Don't forget to flash Gapps as well, or you'll be without a market and email!

Its nice, but your going overbord lol. Orgasm mode? lol. but i agree with you. its bad ass.

Did anybody else hold off on restoring like 70% of their missing apps? Man I went through and pared the list down to only purchased apps & data as far as I know anyway. I had eleventy zillion things that applied to 2.2 it seemed. Gotta believe some of those could have caused problems.

Those are Gingerbread icons from the Nexus S. You can always just hide the notification bar.

And rsarno, you can also ADD a phone or messanging unlock to your lockscreen too.

i d k what you all are talking about with the batt bar i dont have that i have just a horizontal bat that drains down and i use bat statt pro to tell me what % i have left

I just flashed #40 over #38. running fine. Glidlock is churning these out as fast as I can install them.
-LED blinking (fixed as of gridlock build #40)
-Camcorder missing 720p (recording should now work though as of #40)

i'm off to play in the snow.

i just flashed 40 over 38 and all is running smooth so far there are a few cosmetic changes that you can see from the get go haven't gotten that much into it yet

I seem to be getting horrible battery life, but extremely fast charging. Anyone else?

Not great life here either with packaged kernel. CPU is staying above 500 while pretty much at rest though. I'm spoiled from Adrynalynes kernel that went sub-300 by the time I took my eye off the screen.

Is there some reason to not flash a new kernal onto this badboy?

Fired up SetCpu and with min down to 245 and Conservative, its ramping down nice and quick. Much more like it. Took me awhile to pull it back out of the bag, I've been running some nice auto UC kernels lately had to blow the dust off my SetCpu.
