Anyone cracked / scratched their screen yet?

I too use Phantom Skinz on my phones. Cheap insurance, gorilla glass or not.

I've seen several Galaxy S phones at stores that have nasty scratches on the screen. Gorilla glass is no guarantee.

I enjoy my phones, and a little bit of insurance for the screens never hurts. It helps keep the phone clean, and helps resale value when I sell them later.

No scratches or cracks here. I definitely have had a few close calls (dropped it on concrete getting out of the truck) but it still looks like it did when I got it. (except for the fingerprints)

yes i have scratches probably from putting the epic in my pocket all the time with keys change lighters and whatever else not mad about it though gorilla glass is ok not scratch proof though it has survived a few falls that i thought wouldve cracked it

I recently bought the screen protector that seidio offers for the epic, and let me just say that it is the best screen protector i have ever had on a phone. covers the whole front face of the phone including the buttons and feels like glass. You cant even tell that the phone has one on it, took it to the sprint store and the reps were amazed there was a cover on it, becuase they couldnt tell that it did. I would recomend them to everyone here!

Just had an "oh crap" moment with my naked epic. It slipped out of my hand and dropped between car seat and center console, with screen on side with metal seat rail. Not a scratch.

no scratches, but I baby the phone. I have a cloth that I use to wipe off smudges and prints. I'd like to put a protector on it, but havent found one for this phone. I dont want one that will take away from the beauty of the screen.

do you possibly have a link for the one you have?

I picked up the Realook screen protectors on Ebay for the wife and I and they are beyond anything I could have imagined. They are cut so precise it's hard to tell that the screen protector is even on the phone, and once installed, it's as clear as the screen was with no protector on it. $10.99 for two is a hell of a deal in my book.

Trust me i was on the same boat as you with the real look and even the zagg shields but seidio tops them both. Its insane how much the screen looks like it has nothing on it if its applied right and how smooth to the touch it is....

im curious, Does anyone have a picture with their screen protector on they can post?

I have an Invisible shield for my epic that I never used. just want to know what It looks like..

Thanks!

I have a cheap screen protector on mine. And I have the sprint case for it. I have dropped mine a few times, the screen protector also has scratches. Im not sure if the actual phone would have been scratched, but it makes me feel better.

I scratched my screen, a pretty nice 1.5 inch scratch too. And deep. I wanted to cry.

I have always been on the side of "screen protectors are a waste of money". In all my years of using any smartphone or mp3 player with a glass screen (gorilla or not), I have *never* scratched a screen and have always wondered how people baby their phone but end up with scratches.

Foot in mouth. 6 hours after purchase, keeping it in a pocket in my jeans all by itself, I somehow managed this scratch. I have no idea how, but I am a screen protector convert now.

My wife dropped her epic today, it was completely naked as her invisi-shield had messed up. Fell 3 feet out of her purse screen side smacking the ground. The glass was perfectly fine but the inside alomed screen cracked from the top left corner to the middle right from the impact. You can see the liquid now and it has made the touch-screen unusable. What sucks is that we just received the replacement invisi-shield screen in the mail today. Good thing she's covered by a product replacement plan, but she'sfinally decided to use a hard case as I do.

Which hard case do you use?

I'm very sorry to hear this.

I keep reading these posts and I hate to be the one that says "told you so", but most people don't heed the warning about using screen protectors until it's too late.

Hope you keep your future phones safe with screen protectors. I highly recommend Phantom Skinz. :)

Seidio is an awesome case. I actually just received the purple one for her phone. Now we're just playing the waiting game to get the phone back. Best buy told her 2-4 weeks for repairs :/

Yeah, definitely all about the screen protectors now.

Are the Phantom Skinz as easy to install as they make it sound? I bought a cheap crystal clear pack from Verizon and despite being a single sheet, it took all 3 for me to get an alignment I was happy with. It works great though, I have a matte one on my Fascinate and it has this weird speckled rainbow effect - I'm not sure if its still "drying" or if its stuck that way.

I personally think the Phantom Skinz are extremely easy to apply. But that will of course vary from person to person.

I've applied BSE, ZAGG, Clear Freak, Ghost Armor, Phantom Skinz, and they're all pretty much applied the same and pretty straight forward.
