Anyone switch to Casio Commander? (G'zOne))

It sparks my interest but I'm seeing a LOT of negatives being said about it. Interested in comparison to Droid X, so please don't move this ...please
It is now an Android smart phone.

CPU is slower.
No Swype? People complaining about texting being slow.
5mp camera and poor video

I used one in the store and kept getting force close every time I opened the camera.

I really want a water-'proof' phone. Had the original G'zOne and liked it for what it was at the time. But this is a different animal. Can't do without a smart phone now.

Wasn't much different than a DX. Maybe a bit wider and a bit thicker. It's not as huge as it looks. Remember all the talk about the DX being too big? Nice thing is, you don't have to put a case on it therefore it stays the same size.

I agree, but the only times I drop my X is when it isn't in a case

same goes for my sunglasses, for that matter...

I only take it off for a very short period of time and I always do it over my bed or my couch

Now that you mention it, it does look like an armed forces type of phone. Probably where the name of the phone comes from.

My dad was telling me that our neighbor back home got this phone. He had said he liked it as this is his first android phone. His wife got the X a few months back. He is always either in the shop working on old trucks or out on the boat. I'm glad android phones like these are available for people in positions such as that.
