First I want to know if I can get the black status bar on bb rom (uot kitchen compatible?), also the dsp manager thing, and gingerbread keyboard(is the one from the market the same?). another question. I made backups for bumblebee and then went to aosp. but when I tried restoring the backup for bumblebee it didn't work, even after I flashed the bb rom again. it said that md5sums were wrong. any ideas on what went wrong and how to fix it? thanks

Try using xionia_recovery,I can,and have,Installed one ROM from at least from 5 different devs,and had no problem restoring backups. Plus xionia_recovery has a couple of extra goodies that aospCMod doesn't. I tried the black status bar from UOT Kitchen on Bumblebee myself.The date text was O.K., but the time text remained black(made it really hard to see). So I just jazzed up the white status bar with some different colored icons.

Did you wipe cache, data, and Dalvik cache before reinstalling the rom or restoring the backup. Not sure if thats the cause, however that is what i do everytime I install a rom or restore a backup.

The dsp manager in aosp will only work on gingerbread roms. The gingerbread keyboard on the market is the same. If you are looking for a great looking black notification bar for 2.2 roms try this one. i have used on Bumblebee, Aphrodite, and Harmonia. It should work on any of the 2.2 roms. Just be sure to make a backup first, just in case.

but the black status bar mod somehow didn't change the black clock text to the chosen theme color(or any color for that manner). I made sure I used the framework-res.apk from the ROM I was using. It changed everything else and looked cool. I just couldn't read the clock. This happened on the Harmonia and the Bumblebee ROM's(the two I like the best). Unless you know of a better method(work around) I'm forced to us the one mentioned in mkbkr1's post(I really want to be able to see the clock text). One other note: changing the boot animation worked with the Bumblebee ROM as it was supported by the Kitchen,but it didn't work with the Harmonia ROM EDIT: Don't get me wrong, it is a cool site that you can use to change a lot of stuff and customize your "V", which I have. I just couldn't change the status bar to black and read the clock,or change the boot animation on the Harmonia ROM. I did change everything else.I made the white status bar look a little better. But everything else was dead on super cool looking(as far as what I think looks cool). If you want to change the theme of your ROM,and the look of your icons, UOT Kitchen is the place to go.

I'll double check,but I'm sure that I had the preview looking right,but it didn't come out on the phone.I flashed the one mkbkr1 mentioned and it has given me a black bar with white clock text that I just flashed over to get everything how I want,plus the white clock text. Maybe someone else could try as well using the Harmonia ROM,I could just be missing something(like a functioning brain), Wouldn't be the first time,or the last?
