App Questions/Google Voice

What are your favorite clock and weather apps? I haven't found any that I like so far.

Also - I use google voice for texting and I've had soem issues...

Sometimes the text won't sent at all and I have to restart the phone in order for texts to go through.

Also - is there any way to change the format/colors/etc of the texting with google voice texts?

I use the Beautiful Widgets Weather Home widget. It has a TON of user created skins that you download directly from the app. It's really simple. You can get it to look like HTC Sense's clock, or all sorts of other things. It's not a free app, but I think it's worth the ~$2.70 it costs to get a nice looking weather dock on your homescreen.

I absolutely love the lg Optimus 2x widget. It's the best looking widget i have found. Other than that I use beautiful widgets.

I don't use a clock widget, but if you are talking alarm clock I use AppAlarm to wake up to Pandora (it will launch whatever app you want) every day: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.episode6.android.appalarm.pro&feature=search_result

Weather, I use WeatherBug Elite. Great widget, severe weather alerts, live maps, basically anything you can think of. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.aws.android.elite&feature=search_result

Those links are the paid versions I use, but there are free versions of both.


I only use GV to text if I don't have a signal, just WiFi. I haven't had any problems with it. As far as I know there is no way to change colors or anything unless you use a theme that changes it.
