Apple 5 or Galaxy s3

I am trying to decide which phone is a good fit. I like both phones , well haven't seen the new Iphone but have seen the Iphone 4. Have talked to a lot of people that have decided to get the Iphone saying that their reason for choosing the Iphone was because " It just works better than an android, no freezing or glitching". I tried a friends Galaxy s3 and it seemed like it was an great device and I didn't notice any problems that were noted by the Iphone crowd. I however only used the phone for about ten minutes and haven't had a lot of exposure. I am leaning towards the Galaxy because the screen size is more appealing for one and the phone seems like you can do more with it. Hope this is a good choose.
 
What is freezing and glitching, I have had my S3 for 6 days now and its just amazing
 
That is just iPhone users excuse. Obviously if you get an entry level android device, it it is going to be glitching and freezing. Even the iPhone actually does, try looking on Google.
 
iPhone is the smartphone for dumb people.

Android is designed for power users.

That's all I have to say about this other than the fact that the Galaxy SIII outclasses the iPhone 5 in almost every hardware category. The iPhone is struggling to keep up with modern Android phones.
 
You are asking a question on an android forum so don't be surprised if some of the answers you get are rather biased, that said, I have had several iPhones and now own a galaxy s3. The galaxy imho is better for me. I love the way it works, the way you are able to customise almost every part of it. With an iPhone you are limited to what apple say you can do and that is it.
My galaxy works perfectly, no glitches, hang ups, freezing or anything.
If you want a phone you can play with and customise then android is the way to go, if you simply want a phone that does most things very well and customisation does not bother you, then maybe apple is the way to go.

This is purely my opinion, nothing more.

i have not once owned a top of the line android that "freezes or glitches"
the ones that tend to do that are shitty android phones that cost under 100. the galaxy s are top line phones. i never had a problem. if some one has then it must of been a factory defect or w/e.

the galaxy runs fast. its powerful and great quality. Samsung sticks with there plastic though but their internals has never failed me.

if you plan on playing games and watching movies or clips on your phone. the galaxy s 3 will meet those standards to the max. its screen gives u better viewing quality and its hardware gives u fast powerful experience.

some people that buy iphone dont know what there talking about. most of them never had an android if they did i doubt it was a good one.
 
I have an S3 for 2 months now & it is an amazing phone . Since i have two mobile No's & my other Phone ( a S2 ) is getting old, i would be buying i5, though, i hate the restrictions, the Apple Phones have .
 
I have a new MacBook Pro and Ipad 3. I also have a Galaxy s3. If Apple had come out with more features and a bigger screen in the Ip5 I would switch, but the S3 outclasses the Ip5 in many ways. The display is beautiful. Battery life is superb and I really like having a notification light. I got the 32GB with a 32GB sim card, so I have plenty of storage and I can even add more if I want. It has never frozen up on me. When Jelly Bean comes( Verizon/Oct?) it will be even smoother. I have read about 10 books on the device and it works perfectly. Again, if the Ip5 was better in any way, I would switch, but the S3 suits me in every way. Plus, wireless charging is coming either this month or next.

i would never switch to an iphone. just because its to simple and to many restrictions. its just not a power house of a phone.
 
My girlfriends iPhone 4s freezes all the time, my Galaxy S3 on the other hand never has any issues. If you want the best phone on the market get the Galaxy S3, the iPhone 5 doesn't even compare.

or just wait for the galaxy note 2. which has a quad core processor ;)

but the size is just overkill

iphones will freeze and have glitches too - they are no better or worse in this regard.

Many iphone owners just believe myths that their userbase put around.

You are quite correct in saying that the galaxy is more usable and has more features.

Get the iphone if you are fashion conscious or want to fit in with the crowd.
Get the galaxy if you can look past the Apple PR and hype.
 
With the Iphone both battery and micro sdcard cannot be replaced so if you have a battery or sdcard issue you'll have to RMA it.
You already know the detailed specs of the GS3 but the Apple site gives no detail at all about the I5 CPU even though the phone is on sale. Its like buying a car with no idea of what is under the hood.
 
I love the S3 much more than my iPhone 4s. That being said I am selling my 4s and ordered a iPhone 5 as my second phone. I like being able to do more with the S3 and the photos on my S3 are much better (IMHO) What I really want is the Note 2 on Verizon, but now that Mophie is coming out with a juice case, for the S3, it probably will stay my day to day go to phone.
 
I own a Lenovo ThinkPad because it outperforms an iBook or anything with an "I" on it for less money.

I own a Galaxy Tab because it outperforms an iPad.

I own an s3... Well, you get the picture.

Unless you are trying to impress your friends with art degrees or just dropped $800 on a pair of jeans, there really isn't any logical reason to buy anything with an Apple logo on it. Inferior product for more money.

I bought my iPad 2 because it was the best tablet at the time by a clear mile. I haven't tried the latest and greatest Android tablets, but the old ones didn't even compare imo.

Much prefer Android on phones, but iOS on tablets (at present).
 
I had a iphone and now i have a galaxy s3. Here is why I chose the galaxy over the iPhone 5.
1. The galaxy has a battery that is removable. If battery life starts to dwindle I'll buy a new battery. The Iphone the battery is built in.

2. The base model galaxy s3 has 16 gigs as does the iPhone. However the galaxy allows you to add microsd cards to increase your capacity. The iphone doesn't. if you buy the 16 gig iphone and need more storage you have to wait until your contact ends to get the more expensive model.

I have had my Galaxy s3 for a month now. And have had no issues with it.
In fact I have replaced my son's phone with one. And just got my wife one.

It by far is the best phone on the market.

Its a matter of preference now. Though I couldn't even bare to think of a smart phone that is only the equiv of me opening the Android app tray. That's the iPhone. I do own iOS devices and will never buy another. While I have devices of various OS types, I will never, ever buy another iOS device because of Apple's bullying of the competition. It is flat out wrong, especially for the richest company in the world. And it is clear why they are doing this when you look at the iPhone 5 and how non-innovative it is. Apple is clearly a follower now, not a leader. They are using more and more things already found in Android. And iOS certainly is not a "just works" OS. It has its share of lock ups and issues. I own 4 iOS devices and know. Upgrades are not always smooth and the OS upgrades, while backward compat to some older devices is true, many of the must have features are left out on purpose so you throw more money into the Apple coffers for a new device. With the Android OS, all the core apps are constantly updated, not just once a year. There is a big difference. Most of Google's built in apps are updated independent of the OS making having the latest OS not such a big deal. And when my Galaxy S3 gets Jelly Bean, it will have all the latest Google OS inclusions including Google Now (which I have to admit makes this the first time that I really have to have the latest OS!) and I won't be forced to buy a new phone to get it.

Apple, IMHO has turned rotten. Its no longer about being innovative. Its about unfairly kicking out the competition and running a monopoly. I refuse to support them and all the lawyers they hire. I may even sell the kids' iPod touch devices and buy them brand new Galaxy Players instead.
