Are you gonna leave?

I don't know if my wife really cares about 4G, but if I ever have to use her phone, I'll want it. She's got upgrade now and discounted pricing in Sept. I've got Upgrade in March, but might be able to talk big red into an early since I held out so long to get the X.

I think my wife would like the Galaxy SII more, but unless it's also 4g, dual core, and has solid battery life it's a non starter.

I'll probably upgrade to a 4G device this year, since 4G is now available in my area and VZW is on a rampage releasing new 4G markets across the country.

I suspect that it will not be an infinite amount of time where 3G customers can upgrade to 4G plans without sliding into the tiered data.

Once news of that leaks if I have not already jumped to a 4G phone I will then get the best one that is out there, want to stay away from the tiers, but keep the Verizon service.

Still no 4G love for Kansas City yet, but Council Bluffs IA has it???? (Ok, I grew up there so I can make fun of it)

Will keep my X (and rooted Froyo) until July 2012 at least. By that time, faster and better phones will be out and if I decide then I want a Bionic then, it will be free (or almost free) with a new contract.

Well we hope you stay! We are eagerly anticipating the launch of the Droid Bionic. Please sign up here Droid Bionic - Verizon Wireless to receive an email when the Bionic will become available.

A lot of people are turned off by Moto right now, I know I certainly am. You guys should concentrate on bringing the SGSII instead, or the next Nexus phone.

too bad tamara is just customer support, nothing she can do about bringing phones to us lol

I just got my very first smart phone in general, which is the Droid X, and I plan to keep it for at least a good year or so. I'm extremely content with it, and see no reason to upgrade until technology really impresses me. The beginning of next year at the very earliest, probably closer to Christmas 2012 for me.

not impressed with anything else out in the market right now enough to leave my X.

and seriously, if the Bionic comes with a locked bootloader, I'm going to call Roush Racing and ask them if they would run their NASCAR cars on bicycle tires. same principle to me, honestly.

I agree that Moto built a great phone in the X and has some awesome build quality, but if I can't put Cyanogen on it without 2nd init, then I'll go to a phone manufacturer that will let me.

Samsung or LG for me, if moto doesnt encrypt the bionic, or allows there to be a website that unlocks it, then im all for it, but not another moto product in my future

Yup, Samsung is looking pretty enticing right. Even if Moto doesn't encrypt the bootloader I don't know if I'd get the Bionic, I would think about it though.

if the bootloader for the bionic is unlocked, i would heavily consider it, but i do love the samsung screens.... just so bright and vibrant

Yeah, but still, Moto hasn't been treating it's customers all that well, don't know that I want to support that.
