Third party? Are you happy with them?

Yes they are amazing. I submitted a claim on my Droid at 6pm on a Tuesday and they had it at my door the next day no BS.
I believe they charge a little more a month though. $10 a month and either $89 or $99 for a replacement but it's worth it. Very easy to do and no problems what so ever.
I didn't know Verizon offered their own insurance I thought they always went third party.![]()
verizon's insurance option is through asurion
I think Verizon uses Asurion
Most definitely but I'm going through Asurion currently.
I am thinking about going with squaretrade. Their coverage seems comparible and it's cheaper.
For Smartphones its $7.99 per month, with a $90 deductible. And I see customers every day that wish they had added insurance for their Smartphones. Asurion is a good company, never had a problem with them, and say if you made a claim before 12pm on that day, it would get shipped out, and most likely receive it the next day since they overnight deliver every phone. Also they ask if you had any accessories like a case or holster, and they replace it as well.I think it's $7 per month and has a $80 deductible. Do you guys usually go with or without it?

$90 a year for insurance on a item that costs $500 to replace, depreciates quickly and with a $90 deductible, seems to me like it does not make financial sense.
