Fingers crossed they'll have at least a 32 gig at launch. I was going to buy off contract and then sell it whenever a 32 became available, but if they sell them at launch, may sign a new contract (mine's been up for over a year).

Really don't see them launching with an unannounced version of the phone.
I think most interested in the 32gb bs the 16gb are the ones preordering.
I for one would be pretty upset.
 
Yesterday I spoke with a CS rep and she told me the phones were sold out :confused: but then in the same breath said pre orders will ship June 18th. I really don't think they know what's going. Has anyone else been told they were sold out?

The CSR probably thought they were sold out because the computer indicated that the devices had been "backordered". I was told the same thing twice too :P
 
My pre-order status online still says in progress. The automate phone system says back-ordered. I have a contact at my local store. He responded to my text. Hopefully, there will be some good news. Mine could be affected by the fact that I am having mine sent to the store instead of my home. Didn't want to risk having it taken off my doorstep while I am at work.
 
My order says In Progress. but my AT&T rep (for the company I work for) stated 21st June is the day. Here's hoping the ship it the day before and I get it the following day :)
 
I walked by a store - I couldn't remember if it was an AT&T store or an AT&T authorized dealer (sorry, was talking to a friend) and they had computer printed signs on the window that said GALAXY S3 16GB: $199, 32GB: $249

Hmmm, is it possible that they WILL have a 32GB at launch?

A lot of people who pre ordered the 16 GB, and wanted the 32 GB, will be pissed if that is true. I can see a lot of returned/exchanged pre orders for the 32 GB. AT&T is so stupid, why not just give people info instead of jerking us around.
 
ATT reps are still saying shipping starts on preorders Monday the 18th.
I do buy that they are "sold out", but that just means they have higher demand than the expected allocation. They will start with the earliest preorders and fill them in order. I ordered at midnight, so I am expecting to get mine on Wednesday.

If you preordered, you should be good. At least you should expect to be able to go by the date you were given at time of order. That's why If you preorder now, you are being TOLD your phones should ship on 21st. They will continue to get phones in and ship them out as they come.

I agree - if there's any truth to that - a lot of people are not going to be happy. Myself included!
 
If you pre order the phone from best buy would you recieve it the same time asat the at&t store or does it take longer for 3rd party retailers to get the phones ?

hopefully they will i called today and they still have no answers :( . They are still saying on or before the 21st but both sim and phone are saying pending shipment whereas before just the sim was saying pending shipment. So hopefully that means something.

my order has said pending shipment since the 10th when i preordered it!
we will know by end of today because other wise it will cost them sooooo much money to send them out if they keep waiting cause everyone who preordered was told NLT the 21st, for receipt of the phone.
 
Well would you look at this it looks like everyone is in the same boat floating in the sea of hopelessness wondering when their provider will ship their phones. The boat tossing and turning as they are provided no answer to their hunger for a shipment number by UPS. Being hit with wave after wave of reviews and Youtube Galaxy S III owners as they show off their phones to which you do not have one of as if they are making mockery of you and rub your nose in the stench of emptyness, but wait......... just you wait the storm shall soon settle and land shall you see over the horizon when your phone has arrived and that void that was left there is filled......... Here I go again yeah took it a little too far once again.
 
Have people who pre-ordered been already charged on their credit card? I noticed that on my AmEx - it is showing up as a "pending" charge along with some weird $1 charges (3 of them). I guess they aren't official charges against the card and it's probably waiting to ship before the charge becomes actual.
 
Anyone else order from Amazon like I did? They say shipping on the 21st but I called today and the lady quickly upgraded my shipping to next day delivery! Hopefully it ships out soon.

Upgrading your shipping is a very common practice from Amazon. I would still keep your fingers crossed as until Amazon ships your phone, they still have no stock.:rolleyes:

When I pre-ordered mine a few days ago at the store, they told me I probably don't even need to bother and that if I just come in at 10am on the 21st they should have more than enough. Not sure when the demo models will be out and set up to be played with though.
