Root Awesome Android Update 4 Released

Can I use TB to uninstall a few things (like Apollo - I have a paid music player, calculator - I have a paid scientific calc, clock widget thingy - never use it cuz I do military time) without crashing ur ROM? You have done WONDERS for this phone... U da MAN!!

I used TB to reinstall several apps I had...no crashing yet.

Yes you can use Titanium Backup to freeze or uninstall Apollo.

I haven't been let down by this app yet, so I can recommend it.

The free version, might do that, not sure.

Yeah, remember my op on stereo Bluetooth issues? Apparently that doesn't apply to Apollo, lol. I think I'm gonna keep it. :rolleyes: Shin's ROM ROCKS!! :D
 
AWWWWW MANN!! I just got the Awesome Android update 2 and it's much more stable on boot and no sys ui failure. U R da Man!!
 
I'm currently downloading the update but hey Shin can you add in a stock jb notification toggles? That would be really cool!:)
 
im going to work on notification toggles, the SystemUI issue is caused by the bootanimation i added. the new update reverts to the ZTE boot ani. the one i added causes the system to use up all the available memory forcing SystemUI to crash in order to finish the bootani. you also need to factory reset with this update in order to get your call menu back. if you guys haven't noticed system > call menu is grayed out. I also updated the changelog system > about phone > changelog as well as added in the CM10 transition animations. This update makes the phone run a ton smoother.

Can't connect via USB anymore. The device drivers, not recognized, or given a drive letter, etc.

It worked yesterday morning, and I loaded Awesome Android, into the sd-card.

Admittedly on an old Win. XP desk top here, USB 1 probably.

I've been having to turn off "developer Options/USB Debugging to get the phone recognised by the PC since changing from the stock ROM.

Now I can't. How would the drivers for the ZTE ADB interface get affected?

Anyone else run into this?

Yea, the drivers on the phone aren't able to install in the PC as in the past.
Is that what you mean by OTA?

I figured to bypass the PC, use goo manager, and download the update directly. That isn't getting downloaded though.

And I have each of the ZTE Drivers (available in the forum and from ZTE) , but none of those are getting OK'd by the PC like previously.

Got the update, (by download, without the PC),my question is why does the user data, all the input, personalization and apps re-loaded need to be wiped?


And .... how come it took me so damn long to figure out factory reset/wipe user data does NOT mean to format the whole partition ???

Sorry, the second questions entirely rhetorical. :o
 
How do I increase my data speed? Currently running Awesome Android update 2, wiped cache/dalvik cache - no change. Last time I had to update Prl and/or profile in settings. Not accessible now, but no prob... Running avg 100kps just wanna speed up to at least 3g 256k... Any ideas? This ROM is by far the best so far and the previous ROM s rocked. Just need a little info...

See?! THAT'S Awesome! Once again, u r the MAN!! OK, so I did the hidden menu tweak (proxies), factory reset (before tweak), wiped cache/dalvik cache - no change... Last time I had data lag, ( average 100kbps) I ended up updating prl (whatever THAT is) and profile (dunno which one did it), that solved the problem. Mr. Shinru, I have NO complaints on your Awesome Android ROM (well named too) :D this is so far the BEST ROM to exist for this phone! My question is about what else I could do to increase data speed on my phone since I am still a very inexperienced Noob and don't know the options available in/through one of the baddest ROMs to exist for this Sequent... Is there a way to update prl and/or profile? Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated and will be tried at least once since my data speeds are sucking. You do great work and don't ask for much.. You've already put more into this phone than I ever expected possible. I'm still a Noob that only knows enough to get himself into trouble, lol... So almost anything helps
 
If I could add in another think I would love for you to toss in to the next update can you please make it so we can have a battery percentage on the notification bar? Thanks! :D
 
Call Settings grayed...???

Hmmm.. I never had that problem, I haven't factory reset... I have the Call settings visible, it always been visible and working.. O_o

I flashed the ROM everything is great but my Google store
owon't open it just closes then when I try to add a Google account I keep pressing add account and nothing happens.. also my signal bars are not in blue they are on grey .. this is a great ROM but I need help
