Root Awesome Android Update 4 Released

After the update, I couldn't change the processor governor. I tap performance and it still says on demand. I tried wiping cache and dalvik cache.

I have noticed that to. I will have to make another full rom. It seems flashing over top of the rom causes it.

Did anybody ever figure out how to fix the voicemail? I got almost week old messages the other night, Went through them and deleted them but at the bottom of my screen, I keep getting a pending message notification. It won't download it, I can't even get the account verified, always times out and it won't let me check for updates.

Is the clock supposed to be gone out of the status bar?

Same question here. Can you make the clock in the pull down an option? It doesn't match anything, needs some padding and I'd rather have the status bar clock...

Also, any chance we can get the long press lock screen back?

These two items aside, this is a great ROM. Shin - do you take donations? :D

Update posted theme's are not final. There is issues, apps work fine though. If you see an issue post it. I need a list for next week so i can fix the theme's.

Sir Shin. The notice says you MUST have an OpenRecoveryScript. Since I'm uncertain I had it check for me as it suggested...none was found. Is the previous version/update2 considered an OpenRecoveryScript or is there one we can download?

I was thinking.... And Shinru, you are indeed THE MAN.. ..cuz if ZTE had taken people's ideas and actually put them to use, you would have had an even more Awesome phone to start with... Can only imagine the possibilities... Our phones get more wicked by the update and ROM. Thank You and all the other Developers/Aspiring Devs here for all your hard work and long hours you put into this phone to make it better:D

Shin..I may be wrong but seems u adjusted the kernel? Seems to be running smoother and not using up so much memory.....thanks for ur awesome work....anyway we can get a reboot recovery toggle....or maybe integrate into power menu? Lol thanks again

You get a re-booter widget if you download Rom Toolbox.

Pretty certain it comes with free and paid versions.

Could one of you fine Lads who has installed the AA update 3 be so kind to tell me how to handled the message "you must have an OpenRecoveryScript"? T'would it be safe for me to install without it being able to find a recovery for me device? Or is the previous update 2 and/or the back up be considered an "OpenRecoveryScript"?

Can we just not skin everything in the rom black & blue? The AOSP apps looked better. The people apps look like ass now, especially when switching between the tabs... Messages looks dumb too...

People can release themes for that mess, would more awesome with more android...

Hey,

1st off, thanks Shin for another awesome ROM! Been using your stuff since the original Warp :) Noooo....I didn't get a Sequent just because it's what you got.... ;)

-QUESTION-
I was hoping someone could clear up the update process. There's instructions for installing the main ROM (rc-1) but once you install the rom, you get notified about an OTA update available. But it's Update#3...

So, I'm assuming I should do all 3 updates, in order, but don't want to jump to conclusions. Please advise?

Shin, maybe you could throw a couple lines on OP with such instructions for us noobs? :)

-edit- I haven't read every single post all the way back to page 1, but i've skimmed most of it and seen all of the last 4 pages i think. I realize that it looks like everyone is installing the updates in 1,2,3 order, but I was only hoping to get pure clarification

so...you're saying don't do any of the updates? i'm talking bout shin's updates, not boost lol

OK, not that I'm impatient, I just don't have a lot of time, I went ahead and tried this process:

1- Followed instructions in OP to install RC-1 (main ROM file)
2- after a full boot, back in CWM i "installed zip from SDCARD" - 'AwesomeAndroid-Update1.zip' and, per the instruction as it's installing thru CWM, i then did a factory reset. Went ahead and wiped caches again too, then booted.
3- Exact same process as #2, installing 'Awesome_Android-Update2.zip', including another factory reset.
4- Again, the same process for 'Awesome_Android-Update3.zip', except it did not call for a factory reset as it was installing, so i just wiped the caches and booted.

Hopefully I'm good!

Oh... Shin had set his updates to be able to got to the newest one and it has all the previous updates included. #3 was theme and toggle based, but as all previous update info is in it.

Install the updates 1-3, awesome android rc1 has all previous updates but you have to install all of the updates from rc1 onward.

I will be making a full rom install with all current updates next week.

So is mine wrong? it seems fine to me I installed rc1 then update 2 never installed update 1
