I'll be watching too Clem and rooting for Boston. The Royals lost their opener to the Twins.. surprise surprise. I did get to see it it however. I'm happy. It's not like I'm accustomed to winning but I accustomed to seeing my team.
They're playing baseball!! Whoop!
yeah I get it. it is why I hate the George Steinbrenner's Yanks.....I still hate them.....lol
but money cannot buy championships. it is so hard to win the World Series these days. i'm sure we will win the division. but the bigger question will be who will show up in the playoffs.
The Yanks have proven that money doesn't always buy championships. It's impossible to win it all without getting to the series. The Dodgers have spent the money to get there. It will be crazy if they don't make it. Winning it all is tough for any team. No matter what.. it should prove to be a fun watch.

I missed the game. I was at the cabin partying with two other couples. Losing the first two games to a team that is their equal...at least on paper... doesn't speak well for the revamped team.
The Royals hosted the Twins again yesterday and they weren't deemed entertaining enough to make the plex. At least I could tune to their game and watched them actually win for a change. I enjoy watching all the games so watching a single game seems a bit slow paced. It was still fun to actually see some decent pitching and our bats come to life.
The Royals in typical fashion lost their opener at Baltimore by giving up a walk-off in the 9th. They are off to a less than stellar start of one and three.
Boston is looking decent so far, it's a long session though.

Nice win Clem! I was afraid you were going to be 0 and 2 in extra inning games there for a bit. Glad you got that one. The Royals won tonight but the Padres lost. The Dodgers are a run up as I head to bed.

I'm not surprised at the rejection of the tax increase. I think it was partly due to tight budget in this high level of inflation. I think the citizens of Jackson County were opposed to have the Royals relocate downtown. I understand that most large city core areas are somewhat dying but building a new stadium there for a losing franchise is a very questionable means of revitalizing the area.
Sad, but true. Chicago teams are always crying for money and threatening to move. Currently, the White Sox are talking about moving to Nashville.

Another nail biter, it's been a stressful session already!
A good win though stressful. I missed the first of the game while out mowing. The Royals are finally playing their noon game that was rain delayed. Bottom of the 6th up 2 zip.
The Royals added some much needed pitching to their roster but failed to get a closer. There is something about giving a game away in the 8th and 9th that infuriates me.
I think that walk-off against the Royals last night upset them. They treated the White Sox to a butt kicking welcome to Kauffman Stadium.
This will likely be the only time this season I can type this. The Royals are currently 4/4. I know they were never 500 at any time last year. Perhaps the last few years. True the season has just started. It won't last.
Maybe it's their year!
Boston is in the process of blowing a 4 - 0 lead and Trevor Story went out with a gruesome looking shoulder injury. Ugh
I saw that injury. I can't imagine how badly that hurt. I bet it's not a small injury either.
