Did you partition with ext4?I had my last partition EXT4...is that ok with this now?
Edit: done
Then you, my friend are in my future because I am an hour behind youHOLY TOLEDO, It's TOMORROW already!
It just FLIES when having fun...:smokingsomb:
[Still working...]

Did you partition with ext4?
Some sense roms like MikG do not support ext 4.
If you desire to flash a MikG rom to change your prl, then I would leave it at ext 3 which works with sense and aosp (decks).
If you already did ext 4 you can reformat it again and stop at ext 3
Yeah I would. Better now than later eh?DOH! I did ext4...crap
I'm reloading my card with files, I could stop it...
Yeah I would. Better now than later eh?
Edit: I sure am wearing out my F5 button! lol

(what does the f5 button do???)

Reloads the current page instead of clicking on the reload arrow..I just learned that a couple months ago...funny huh?(what does the f5 button do???)

especially the nandroid.Ya know, ya DON'T know if ya don't ask!!! Thanks...
BTW - when I am going back to put stuff back on my sdcard, what is the MINIMUM files I need (I know about the personal stuff like pics, media, etc). As far as all the other ones though, what do I have to have? I'd need the .zip files for the ROM and SUPERWIPE and DT a2sd...what aboit the nandroid file?

especially the nandroid.
I am curious tho, you transferred all card contents to computer when it had ext-4. Then you formatted to ext-3...if you transfer everything, will the ext-4 contents not transfer over to the, now, ext-3 card? Maybe argedion will see this and know...because windows does not see/display the ext contents. follow?![]()
Just take comfort in the fact you have a nandroid! That's a good question! I guess we shall see since I reformatted to ext3...

Just remember to wipe all except sd card, I wipe 3 times, then restore nandroid.
Thats what I do.![]()
You can do either. Now, my confusion sets in with this whole nandroid process...
After I get the files loaded back onto the card, am I going to flash back to a nandroid OR a new ROM (which I have the .zip file)?
You can do either.
If you nand restore, wipe all except sd 3 times, then restore the backup.
If you want to flash the rom, (MikG?), the do the same thing, wipe all except sd 3 times, flash rom, let rom sit for 10 minutes then wake up phone.
It is MikG correct? And you want that for the prl thing correct?
Edit: I'm getting sleepy..lol
Cool...just for your info, here is info from MikG site on how to flash...Yes MikG! prl yes..
Cool, think I got it from here my friend, I really appreciate your time and patience. We'll 'talk' another time soon and please, have a great 4th tomorrow, er I mean, today! Dale

I would flash from fresh. I have little confidence ext 4 stuff will find its way to ext 3.
Interested to see if it does though.
Do you just use nandroids to go back and forth between roms? ?I have been going back and forth from Decks and Mikg3.11, no wiping in between, it works fine.

Of course, if you are flashing a new rom, you want to wipe it all except the sd card. I wipe the sd ext too but some have said you don't need to. better safe than sorry.
Uh Oh...when I uninstalled both TB free and paid versionns then went back to market for them, the free version installed fine but the paid one gave me an ERROR -"Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card." Now what?
Think there maybe a bit of confusion here. EXT2,3,and 4 are simply file systems. That is they tell the system how to store and manage files for the partition it is in. This is not a "File" like you download. Files are not File System specific like they are program specific (Ie. HTML uses a web browser to view its content). The partition table is only a small data base describing how the file is saved to the Operating System. this stores the file and keeps the address of the file and journal options and yada yada yada. The big thing between the EXT system is permissions. Linux permissions can be kept. this is genrally solvable by putting the file on a fat 32 or a NTFS partition which strips all permissions away from the file (Note: should be like that for phone but since the phone is based on linux probably would be safer to remove the file headings on a computer.
