Anyone know how get the % next too the battery ? or least somewhere on the screen,

There are widgets on the market that do this, but it is separate from the display on the right. To get it on the right hand display, you will have to root. Personally, I use circle battery widget which is great, and does not contribute to battery drain.
Yes I know how to root. Should not be done if you are not familiar. There is much information at xda forum.

People can't become familiar without a bit of guidance.
Adamantell, have a read of [CF-Root v3.7] and the other root-related threads in the XDA Galaxy S II Development forum.
If you have any questions post them in our Galaxy S 2 - All Things Root sub-forum and hopefully someone can answer them. It won't be me though - I'm still trying to get my head around the process after nearly two years working with HTC handsets!
