Help Bbm

As far as I'm aware, the only 'confirmation' this exists were a few pictures submitted, anonymously, to a tech blog.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for it actually being true.

Even if bbm foes become available on android, only way to get bbm will be by signing up to a blackberry contact thru your network, 20 quid a month minimum

I don't understand why everyone loves BBM and why some people who owns blackberrys don't move to other phones, simply to have BBM, isn't it just like the many others in the market already? WhatsApp for example? What's so special about it that differentiates it from the others? Fair enough it was probably the first but still.

The Google buying BB thing above made me chuckle though :D

God some people on here LoL.
Google has not bought Blackberry (although i belive they may be considering it)
The BBM app is in the pipeline (currently in alpha)

And by all accounts you WONT have to pay for a BBm contract as it will be a limited service compared to the curent one running on BB it wont be linked to their servers. Hence no need to chare a monthly cost

Like I said above, I would really take those pictures with a grain of salt. Anoymously leaked pictures of a wrecked device, showing oddly familiar photos, is a long stretch from an official press release.

I'm not saying it's not going to happen either.... just that I wouldn't represent it as fact just yet.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what's so good about BBM? Have I been missing something?!?

WhatsApp is just as good mate. You can send text pictures and video's easily as long as you and a mate have it installed. When i had my BB Bold 9700 and Torch 9800 i loved BBM, great for sending the stuff mentioned, but as i said WhatsApp does exactly the same.

Cheers Murzz... can't have been missing anything though - not used WhatsApp... not really that bothered by stuff like that... guess I've not got enough going on in my life to warrent it!!

IMO RIM would be making amassive mistake of they open BBM to other devices, this is the only selling point they have for Blackberries, and that is why they are so popular. So if it's true, and BBM becomes available on Android, im sure we'll be seeing less and less Blackberries :)
