my bet is it sticks em in data/local and not system/media. But if it dont it doesnt sound bad for those who are leary of doing in the manual way in RE. Using RE isnt hard at all to do, just isnt one click.dude forget all that root explorer stuff, just download "absolute system" you can download tons of animations and you can change your font on your entire phone, btw it has a built in root explorer that you can mess around with, its great... go to 4shared.com to download it cuz the site i got it from is currently down, if your interested.
I just checked out this app and bought it, and you are totally right! totally worth the 2 bucks! Thanks for telling us about it!absolute system has tons of animations and its easy to install, all you have to do is go to boot animations and it will prompt to update and to make it even sweeter you get to actually see what the H E double hockey sticks your downloading, to me i say thats by far the best one, boot animation installer or changer doesn't show you jack crap and have almost the same animations as absolute system, but any-who, 3 easy steps 1.download 2.install 3.reboot and watch the magic lol.....
Oh and commenting on playfulgod comment, you are able to stick them in either one data/local or system/media another good deal.
cept then u have em 2 places lol. I do it the manual way or create a flashable zipabsolute system has tons of animations and its easy to install, all you have to do is go to boot animations and it will prompt to update and to make it even sweeter you get to actually see what the H E double hockey sticks your downloading, to me i say thats by far the best one, boot animation installer or changer doesn't show you jack crap and have almost the same animations as absolute system, but any-who, 3 easy steps 1.download 2.install 3.reboot and watch the magic lol.....

every thing works great with absolute but it will not let me d/ld any boot animations i just get error d/lding preview message any ideas whats wrong?

as the older versions are being 86'd and won't be able to download boot animations as code/servers have changed, and they still use the old links that are now dead.what's up, i just created an account to address your issue
what version of my app are you running? Did you get it from market or download a pirated version?
if the latter, make sure to pirate the latest versionas the older versions are being 86'd and won't be able to download boot animations as code/servers have changed, and they still use the old links that are now dead.
Anywho, let me know
also it mentions NAND unlock or S-off on market, and that is primarily for HTC Devices, that
need to be unlocked for modifying /system
