Help Best bluetooth for epic4G?

Am presently using my ancient Plantronics (made for Palm) bluetooth, and it works, but it has its limitations. Any suggestions on what is most compatible with the epic4G?

I can say my Jawbone Icon Hero is working great..

The ICON Hero is garbage!! Get the Rouge...;)

Although it is the only bluetooth I have used on the EPIC, I have been very happy with the Jawbone ICON. I have heard of at least one report of it failing early, but I have mine for over a year, with no issues whatsoever.

i've had good luck with the Discovery 975. A little more natural sounding than the Icon (which I also have). Pairs and connects well unlike my Voyager Pro which ends up not connecting once in a while, and I have to un-pair and re-pair. I think the sound quality (to others) is why I like the 975 over the Icon not to mention the little charging case which is great to keep in the work bag. On the Icon side, it does A2DP so I can listen to music and talk via BT when I'm out at lunch during the day or during breaks when using headphones isn't really convenient. Besides, I don't need sports talk or Stern in stereo.

The only problem with the Icon is it's so damn small and easy to lose. I have one in my car, somewhere (all black interior), and I can't find it. I know it's in there because it was connected to my phone for a few days after losing it, but even with the car silent, I couldn't hear a ring to help find it. Pain in the butt. So I picked up another. I have all three that I talked about. So just don't get an Icon that matches the interior of your car :)

It'd be nice if they had a finder signal for it being a blinking led or loud beep. Something you could activate from your phone.

One of the big failings I have found with the Epic is that it won't stay paired with my Discovery 975. I have to re-pair repeatedly, and even then it will "lose" the connection during the day. I've been told that Bluetooth is a known problem for Android. Has anyone been successful in getting their Epic to stay connected to their Bluetooth headset?

I've never had great BT across the board on any phone in the past 3-5 years. It is the farthest thing from a "standard" I've seen in a standard. And my Discovery 975 has always been solid connection wise in comparison to my Voyager Pro. Could be the ROM I'm running, who knows.

I finally went with the Voyager Pro +, with A2DP so that I can finally listen to my voicemail on the Bluetooth. It's a bit bulky, but I have big ears, so no sweat.

I'm using a plantronics backbeat 935. It works great. I do have to re-pair now and then, but its not too bad.

I have found that if I power up the Voyager Pro Plus before powering up the phone, I will most likely have to re-pair. But, if I power up the phone before powering up the Voyager, I have no problems.

Well, that worked for about three days, and then the Random Android Futz Factor again reared its unpredictable head. Some days I have to pair from scratch, others halfway, but I haven't had a normal automatic pairing in weeks. Now I am just used to it and go along.
