Best Buy - $100 off captivate

I renewed my expired contract for 2 years. Thanks to skinien I print that form and ran to Best Buy figureing they would have all kinds of reason why I couldn't. I think i caught them off guard.

i suggest that if you are a new customer go to amazon and get it for a penny...
 
Just upgraded my second line for 50 + tax. Not sure whether i can try the coupon for already bought phone. Going to try today.
 
Ok- I guess I am back in the game. Stopped at Best buy tonight and bought a Captivate again- only this time for $50!!!

My Walmart one for $149- I returned and cancelled contract on day 30 back in the 18th of Sep, and had been using my RAZR2 v9x. I returned it for the GPS issue until it got resolved. Well its still not resolved, but I can live with it for $50 rather than $150!!!

$150 at BB- minus the $100 coupon for Reward Zone woks GREAT!!! I am still convinced though that it will be a free phone one of these next couple of Fridays.

Oh- and GPS is not any better...does not lock.

Ugh, my upgrade date is 10/27 and I don't think BB is going to budge on that. What's odd, is that when I check my upgrade on Amazon, it says I'm eligible, but BB says the exact day of 10/27. I'm going to really be mad when they offer it for free on a Friday before my upgrade.
 
Is this legit? where is the source site for the coupon. The fine print says Available in New Jersey. FORGETABOUTIT. .LOL

But seriously, my Dad is walking into BB with this printed copy and a few of his NJ buddies will be hanging outside making sure the coast is clear.
 
THis offer is valid for any 2 year activation on a captivate. Does not matter whether you are a new customer or upgrading or adding a line. I believe the family plan minimum monthly charge has to be 69.99. Not sure.

notice how that picture doesnt have a bar code?
you have to log in to your best buy reward account.
if you dont have one make one!
make sure and print your reward zone card because your going to need to present it!

once you log in or make a reward zone account...
finding the coupon and printing your reward zone card will be no problem!!
they are very easy to find!!
the coupon you print will be specific to you and will have a barcode
 
New member here. I was eligible for an upgrade, so I picked up the Captivate last Friday using the coupon - got it for 50 bucks! Coming from an old-school Blackberry Curve, so I'm definitely happy with the phone thus far

got price matched on my previously purchased captivate. (still under 30 days since contract signed - bestbuy.com order).
 
I was also within the 30 days since purchasing the Captivate at Best Buy for $149, brought the coupon in and got it price matched, so only paid $50

Say what? My dad walked in with the printed coupon and they would not honor it, they even logged him into his rewards zone and said it must have been for select customers as they could not find it.

Nice! I have a family plan, and my line is the primary line in the plan. When I try through Wal-Mart they say that they may not be able to continue my $30 data plan since I'd be going from an iPhone to an Android phone. I'll have to call them and see what they can do for me.
 
So let me get this straight - a Best Buy Store will honor it's price match against the Walmart online price? Captivate in Walmart is currently $59

They may or may not. It really depends on the store and who you get. Its kind of random.
 
So I went to Best Buy and they said my upgrade date isn't until December 3rd. The AT&T web site says I am eligible now. I called AT&T and they say they don't know where the December 3rd date is coming from, but I am indeed eligible now. Best Buy claims they can't override the date on their system. I even tried Radio Shack, they have it for $149, and they get the same thing. They showed me right there on the screen where it says my line isn't eligible. Grr.

It's this type of bungling that's going to make me switch to a different carrier.

Edit: Just tried Amazon. Same thing.

Odd, Amazon says I'm eligible, but the AT&T website, and Best Buy web site both say that I'm not eligible until 10/27.
 
Any chance anyone has a copy of this on their PC they could send to me? I just heard about this (was away from a PC) and am dying for this phone...I'm gonna see if I can sweet talk the best buy manager into letting me slide on one day if I have the coupon. Thanks!
