I'm still debating if I'm staying with Sprint, or go with AT&T or T-Mobile. I would prefer AT&T but that would depend on data coverage and dependability. AT&T is a bit more expensive but I like the combination of GSM and LTE availability. T-Mobile might have a better battery life, and Sprint the best value (though I've had bad experience on their WiMAX coverage as well as terrible battery life if 4G was on). Sprint also don't have a GSM which would be beneficial if I go to the Philippines for a vacation.
All in all, I would depend on the Best Buy people to help me decide. I also love the 18 month interest free financing if I buy both the GN2 and GT2 10.1.![]()
Do you have a best buy credit card? That is the only way (AFAIK) to get the 0% financing for 18 months. It would require credit approval and the card is underwritten by HSBC/Capital One, and unless you have stellar credit (or almost) you would be stuck with their "Gold" best buy reward zone mastercard, which carries a low limit (somewhere around $300) and a $59 annual fee along with it.
Also if you happen to go there, look for a person working there wearing a CARRIER shirt (AT&T, Sprint, VZW, T-Mobile). They are sometimes there as representatives from the actual carrier as opposed to a best buy employee, and they can prove to be more than useful. (One AT&T employee quoted me a wrong price on a phone (the price for new customers only) and credited our bill almost $200 to make up for it.
People complain about AT&T a lot (their coverage, and customer service), but here in FL I never have any trouble with coverage, and their CS has been GREAT to me, I usually get to upgrade every 8 months or so as opposed to every 18 months (which is their usual timetable).
Best of Luck!
