Me:Are you selling the TB today?
Them:We are selling the 26th but let me triple check anything is possible with vzw.
Me:Tell me about it.
(On hold forever. Their hold music is terrible btw.)
Them:Its the 26th.
Me: Do you know when your getting the shipment?
Them:I dont know what time but you can call as many times you want and we wont be aggravated.
Me:haha

So this is looking pretty good? :D

Do they claim to have the phone in stock already?

 My BB said March. :(

I'm not paying 300, I didn't even like the idea of 250. Just gonna keep my old droid for now..

You know, that's the first thing I thought of this morning. I was planning on buying through VZW, but I can't imagine their pricing being different right out of the gate. It keeps getting put off, and the price just goes up in the meantime. So I guess we're supposed to be so desperate for it by the time it comes out that we'll fork over whatever just to get it.

If you pre-ordered while the bestbuy ad was out at $249, won't they have to honor that price since they never had any on hand?

Sense UI phones don't have Swype, HTC was rumored to be working on something similar to integrate into Sense

Um, my dad just got an Evo for his company phone. I had to set it up for him and it definitely had a Swype-like input method pre-installed. I'm pretty sure it was Swype, but since I'm not looking at his phone right now, I can't say for sure.

I did test it out and it worked like I would expect Swype to work (even if it was called something else).

I can't even tell you how much I'm looking forward to that feature. My Storm2 is testing my patience on a daily basis!

All I want is a front facing camera and Swype. Oh, and VZW because I'm not switching to another network for any device.

When did we get an official announcement on pricing, or release date? People are getting upset about hear say. I don't get it. I want this phone as bad as anyone, but there is no official pricing or release date. Bestbuy screwed the pooch on this one, not Verizon. It will be out very soon and everyone will be as happy as flies on s#@t. Bestbuy put out two different prices in two papers in the same week for the same phone, took a lot of money from people, and gave them gift cards to buy the Thunderbolt. If people don't buy the bolt, they have to buy something from Bestbuy, that's good business. LOL!!!!

Only other way they can get it on the phone is to install it from Marketplace, but its not on Sense UI phones

Swype | Text Input for Screens

HTC's input method is there standard Virtual QWERTY, not using Swpe. (to slide your finger around the keys to get words to type quickly)

Jay, I don't think anyone has really went into detail about this and you would probably be the best person to answer. At some point within the past week someone (maybe you?) posted pics of the bb store tag with pricing, etc. and it was noted in fine print on the bottom of the tag that one year pricing was also available and to ask for details. I know BB normally doesn't do one year contracts and was wondering if this was special for this phone or if you had any info on this.

The reason I ask is because this one of the main reasons keeping me from getting it from BB since I never really wanna do a 2 year contract again and I was thinking about picking something up in the meantime & just returning it when the TB is released since BB doesn't have a restocking fee. I'd rather not do this but I'm still using a Storm one (need I say more) and it is getting worse by the day.

Thanks for also keeping us up to date!

Well that's how I was typing. Sliding around, doing loops for double letters, off the keyboard to get capital letters, etc. I was there when he unwrapped the phone so it was definitely preinstalled, new from Sprint.

I wonder if Sprint recently added it as a preloaded program or something because it was definitely how I was inputting text and neither of us have a Marketplace account.

No matter. I loved it! I'll be buying it for my next (first) Android phone!

Im just about to sign up for Verizon and have been looking at tons of phones. If I dont live in an area that has the 4G network do you all think this phone is still worth waiting for? And the cost of $249 or $299? The Samsung Fascinate is $50 at Target this week. Was debating on that since it is $200 cheaper. What do you all think? Also thanks Jayishere for all the info you have been posting.
