Best Buy Details

Jay,
Do you think that could be reason alone to make the release date the 24th? Just to allow BB to get it into their ads again?

Now that I think about it, that would be silly, because if they got it into the next week's ads it would still be pretty fresh for the general public. It is probably only us forum dwellers that know so much about this phone and this situation.

Poor BB can't catch a break. It APPEARS we are on the brink of finally getting our TBolt and it isn't in their ad after being there for 3 weeks straight. I feel like VZW owes BB on this one.

(+) 1. Yeah, how ironic is that? BB has the device listed in stock every week until the week it actually launches. Maybe that will be why Verizon will take pity and let them have the phone a few days first? Or, as has been said before...as soon as bb gets it they should instantly make it available, even if that is early next week. (He says wishfully). :)

Thanks for the info, sir! (Though I can't say that it won't stop me from trying;))

I mentioned in an earlier post that you are don't necessarily have to get the TB from the store that you pre-ordered it from. If another store has extra in inventory you can get yours from them and then call the orginal store to cancel your pre-order. This came directly from the BB I pre-ordered from.

Anyone know if you sign up for the 2 year contract through BB if you can call VZ and have it changed to a 1 year? I thought it was talked about already but couldn't find it.

I think (but not 100%) that Best Buy's contracts are like those of online retailers (wirefly, amazon, etc.) where when you sign up, you may not change your plan for 6 months or face penalties (can be changing minutes or data plans, etc.). That is the reason I have never gone that route. I know it is that way for the online retailers & I remember seeing this on BBM's website awhile back as well. But when asked about this a few weeks ago I went to confirm & they no longer have the contract details posted. That's why I'm not 100% sure, but if you asked a BBM manager if they follow this practice, they should be able to tell you.

I talked to one of Best Buy mobile employee few weeks ago about about changing the plans (data, voices) during first month of two years contract he wasn't sure so he called Verizon to confirm the plans change before 6 months. They said, I can change any plan at anytime.

still not sure abt one year plan tho

That could very well be the case now. I am going by when I was looking at getting my Incredible (April 2010). It's possible they have changed there policy since then and that's why I can't find it on their website anymore. But since I'm looking at full retail I'll wait & see what Verizon has for their full retail price (hopefully less than BB's $750).

Verizons assumption of liability will get your 2 year contract changed to a 1 year contract.;) just saying...

I have a question...I am planning on adding a line for the t-bolt, bit then switch the number of the new line with my current line, which has the Inc. I am giving the Inc to my son for his birthday. Will the 4g plan affect this. I did it when I bought the Inc, and gave my wife my ogdroid.

If you add the TB to a new line then you will have to sign up for a data pack on that line.. Then just dont activate it on that line switch it to your line and then put the inc on the line that you bought the tb on..
