Best Buy Details

If I am buying my TB for full retail price because I have no upgrade, and I am a BB Reward Zone member, can I use the 10% off coupon I received in the mail that offers 10% off the purchase of a single prices no contract phone?
 
I just called my store and they said in about 30 minutes they are going to start calling people to make appointments for tomorrow. They don't want everyone showing up at the same time and standing around pissed off.

If you've never had the Zagg protector, I recommend checking them out before getting one yourself. BB might have a demo available or I'm sure one of their workers might have one on their phone. Some people swear by them, others not so much. It'll do a great job of protecting your screen, but it has a grippy/rubbery feel to it. It doesn't necessarily make it more difficult to use, but some prefer the slick feel of the original glass. It also has a somewhat "bumpy" or orange peel texture. Note that I am exaggerating the negatives, as it is not bothersome to many.

Recently I have been using the the static films made by various companies. They usually do a better job of preserving both the clarity and texture of the original screen. These too do well at protecting the screen, however the screen protector itself is slightly more prone to scratches. The few that I have used on my phone were from Verizon, Seidio and SGP's. The problem I had with the verizon one on my incredible was that it did not cover up the entire front face of the phone (the soft buttons and everything below). Seidio's and SGP's cover the entire glass face.

That said I continue to use Zagg protectors on many of my devices. Just prefer the static ones from SGP and Seidio on my phone. Wow just realized this was drawn out way to long.... Anyhow, hope this helps.

I think they are trying to discourage off contract purchases.

I might have phrased my original question wrong, I still have a contract with Verizon, but my upgrade discount isn't available until December, so I am buying the phone for full retail.
 
I am done with Best Buy. I never received a call from them so I just called to see about coming in tomorrow to pick up my phone. I was told the reason they had not called is they were not going to have the phone in tomorrow and would not have it in their store until the 21st. I asked about the price increase issue and was told since it was after the 20th I would have to pay the higher price. When I pointed out I had pre ordered, I was pretty much told, sorry nothing they can due about it.

They are a f---in joke. I will be at the Verizon store in the same shopping center tomorrow and will be a cold day in hell before I buy anything from Best Buy again. As much as I hate going into HH Gregg, they will get my business from now on.
 
I called my best buy about why no phone call. He said we have enough to fill the pre orders. I said are you sure, he said oooohhhh yeah. But that is my back up plan, my wife is going over to verizon at 8:30 tomorrow morning to get me one.

I checked our coupons and they all say "off contract phones" so I assume you are good to go.

Well, Best buy extended the $249.99 until 3/26, so you'd be covered...but they should be getting the phone in.
 
i was just at my best buy store, going to trade my dX back (turns out i don't need to) and i asked when they'd know for sure if they'd have it tomorrow. just then, a guy wheeled up a shopping cart with 2 boxes of thunderbolts, a couple mock units, and a working dummy phone. they let me mess with it a bit, since i was there and talking about it. it's a smooth phone, a bit heavier than the dX, but much more ergonomic. kickstand was nice. i'll be there at 10am to pick mine up.

Jay, in the past you talked about "street date". Does this product have a street date, and if not, does that mean BB is free to sale today IF they have product in??? (and I'm not even going there that you get special treatment!!)

No street date, but I'd imagine 99.99999% of stores won't sell it today.

i don't want them touching while I am not there, and I dont like the feel of zags. It has a slightly sticky feel when dragging your finger across it.

They just called me. Judging by your location, we are using the same BB. I got the 10:30 slot.
 
I got a my preorder confirm phone call to set up an appointment from Best Buy today and the guy said that they don't even have the phone yet and probably won't until tomorrow morning. Probably due to the fact that they are notorious for selling products as soon as they receive them

No it is not possible to return the gift card seeing as how it is just that, a gift card. They advertised the preorder price as nonrefundable.
