Best Buy Mobile employee here! Feel free to ask me questions :)

Okay last question on this thread before the day arrives. . . my BBM doesn't want to answer the phone right now.

Lets say my BB had one pre-o b4 7/4, and one pre-o on the second wave. What are the chances they would receive a shipment of one DX to cover the one on the first wave and not even one more.

I guess my question is what is the minimum amount they would probably send excluding zero? Would they have the balls to send one?

I believe the shipping crates come in 5s, at least that is how they are ordered.

1 coming would not be unusual. At the very least they will have 3. I've never seen us just order 1 phone, it's always more than two (Wish we could of ordered just 1 KIN though...)

Awesome story though, needed more explosions ;)

No, you can get the Verizon insurance if you get the phone through Best Buy :)

I love and stand by the black tie insurance with BB!! The last 5 phones between my wife and I have been through BB with the insurance with them. I have used the insurance multiple times when having problems with the phone. It is as simple as I go in BB say the phone is having problems and its no questions asked they open a brand new phone up and just swap it out for me. Far better then paying a deductable with verizon and then having to wait or even get "refurbs" from them if they swap it out in store.

And if for some reason the phone is out of date or they dont carry that phone any longer they allow you to upgrade it when collecting on the insurance.

Aookay, another question. When I am ringing out tomorrow, can they split the cost between my credit card and cash? I remember doing similar when I worked at the grocery store, but I don't remember the details.

Did you really say $699 OMG That is hi-way robbery. They are cheaper on ebay. I'll do $599 but $699. No way Jose' . I sure as hell hope Verizon doesnt try to rip us off as well. If its $699 I'll sell my place in line for $50.00 to anyone wanting one in Albuquerque NM. PM me. OH what about price matching?

Price matching we will do with the Verizon store as long as no rebate is involved.

so tell me something, what is the logic in selling something over Verizons $599 or $569 retail price. I mean seriously, I can pull up a web site tomorrow at your store and say look here its $569 at Verizon... Help me understand that logic.

I don't have anything to do with the pricing, so I wouldn't be able to tell you why it's more. I do know that we do price match, so if the Verizon store is selling it for 569 , we will match it. Full retail doesn't come with a mail in rebate, so we can do it :)

So, my gf is the primary on her acct and has a password to make changes (under her moms name). can she upgrade her mom's phone (non primary) and then make the switcharoo all at bestbuy tomorrow? her mom's phone is due for an upgrade in September 2010.

Ok sounds good. I still may see if I can grab one on line tonight. Unless my store so happens to call me. I seemed to have been bothering them when I asked how many and when...Guess they must be busy.

All the kids are out of school, so we are definitely getting our butts kicked. Plus the heat brings people in, thank you central air!

In order for you to do the upgrade, there has to be an authorized user there present to sign the contract.

So you want to use the mom's line upgrade and apply it to another line? Yeah, we can do that there :)

She is authorized (by password) and would be doing this at her local bestbuy. Yes, that is what she wants to do. Her mom took her upgrade last year... she would like to return the favor! Should she have any troubles since her mom's upgrade isn't until September? She has gotten mixed responses...

You dont need a print ad showing the Verizon price? they will let you just tell them or show a website as proof? I can see going in and trying to get them to price match with out actually having the Ad in person......

There is a promotion that if your contract this year, you can upgrade early for any smartphone. But I don't believe this can be used for "buddy" upgrades, so you would have to keep the new phone on that line.

She is not an authorized user by just knowing the password, you have to be an authorized user on the account as per verizon. I believe you can check this on MyVerizon.

We don't match online prices usually, we would need some type of confirmation that the price is 569.99 in store. We can call and check with the store, though I've done it off the online one just because I knew it was the same as the store and didn't feel like calling ;)

So... could she upgrade her mom's phone... then go online and change over the activated phones?
