Root Best daily driver ROM?

I have been running BAMF 1.6 for the past couple months and looking to change it up to something better. Is there a fairly stable GB ROM out there, and if not what others would you recommend. PS I am a BAMF lover, but I'm open to other devs.

i personally run cm7,but im not a fan a sense,i love AOSP. cm7 is not a stable release yet,but it works great for me and more than meets my needs.

all of the GB sense roms are based on a very early leak. id reccomend reading thru the warning threads on xda(theyre sticky, you cant miss em) and decide for yourself weather the use of the mr2 or mr2.5 radio and a GB rom is worth the risk of bricking your phone.

if you like bamf roms,id start there. ive run it and liked it alot, and its now up to 2.1 with remix and desensed versions. ive also liked gingeritis, and the original "th3oryOfGinger". i haent tried any of the newer releases yet.

remember youre only a nandroid away from where you are now,and from restoring any future roms you try out. id read thru the threads, look at screenies, and then give the ones you think youll like a shot,as there really is no one and only answer for "whats the best DD rom" :)

BAMF 1.7 remixed has offered me the best battery life (VERY good, even on 4g and heavy usage) and stability. That's what made me come back to Froyo..I do miss that lockscreen though :(. CM7 will be next, but this past week has been so full of switching ROMs around I think I need some stability in my life right now haha

I would say anything other than gingerbread (CM7 excluded because it's nearly flawless) is pretty stable. I dislike sense so I always ran BAMF Stripped. I recently flashed CM and I'm never leaving it, it's perfect (for me anyways) and everything I want/need in a ROM.

Stripped was my staple ROM, and that would be my recommendation for a DD. I'm tempted to try 1.8, but CM7 is just too sweet.

v1.7 was nothing but flawless. I'm on CM7 now and don't plan on leaving anytime soon, unless the BAMF team develop their own AOSP ROM, which I would imagine they will now that the RIL source is on XDA for anyone who wants it.

I've used bamf remix and gingeritis too but I'm on gingerth3ory 4.0 and it's my favorite. This is the first rom I've ever run at stock speeds though it runs like its oc'd. Absolute best battery life I've ever gotten on gb. Damn near froyo-like. He essentially has a rock solid, clean and fast rom as a base then is working on his "candy store" mods for personalization.

He challenges everyone to run his rom at stock speeds with basic uv (he still runs his kernel in the "safe" mode) and says that you should be pleasantly suprised by speed and battery life.

Keep this thread around long enough and you'll find a fan of every ROM. I'm not a tinkerer, I'm probably missing the next great ROM. When I install something, and it works, I keep it.

I've been on Gingeritis and MR2 since the 14th. I'm not going to MR2.5 yet. I'm not trying other ROMs until I have a reason. I never even ran Perfect Storm, so I'm not a chingy groupie, but I did run a Mik-branded plainjane-like ROM on my D1 for over a year without touching it once. Nice thing about low mod ROMs is you forget they're there. Heck, once you replace the launcher, browser, SMS and dialer, what's really left for any ROM to call its own? Any ROM I install hides behind Go Launcher EX, Dolphin HD, Handcent and RocketDial.

Eventually, I'll end up on CM7, but not for any visuals, mainly for the deeper differences.

i liked the original th3oryOfGinger-it was plain, simple, fast and reliable. next time i get a lil itch to run a sense rom for a couple days, ill be sure and hive 4.0 a shot :)

I use DasBAMF. I had CM on my OG droid and I bought my Thunderbolt almost specifically so I could have it back, but I found myself quite disappointed by the lack of customization there was with the OG, so I am holding out in hopes that changes. I'm watching Slayher very closely, though.

I would go with CM7. Regardless of the alpha tag, if you have not tried CM roms, the alpha tag doesn't mean a thing. Essentially the newest version of CM7 for the bolt is better than 85% of the other "stable" roms out there and has been crushing battery life for me. 21 hours yesterday and i was down to like 21%. Fully customizable, and so many features built in when i go to another rom i miss all of the small customizations that make CM personalized for me. I would highly recommend trying it. Best GB rom on any phone IMO.
