BLACK FLEXISHIELD GEL CASE COVER FOR HTC EVO 4G 4TH - eBay (item 360293751028 end time Sep-24-10 06:05:45 PDT)

I second this. Fantastic case, especially considering the $3 price. I bought the Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case earlier, and I like this $3 ebay one much better. Fairly slim, much tighter fit than the Amzer, smooth back for easily sliding in and out of pockets, but still easily gripable. The openings are also precisely cut and look fantastic. I have no desire to buy any other case at this point.

Just ordered my Sena UltraSlim case today. It's available for preorder (not available until 9/15) with 10% off the $29.99 list, but I found an active coupon code (PCWIPNK11) will get you an additional 20% off. Total including $4.99 shipping was a little over $26.00. I had this case for several BlackBerry devices, as well as my HTC Hero. It is my absolute favorite case! I expect I will discontinue using my Invisible Shield once it arrives.

Ive been using the seidio Rugged case with holster and im quite happy with it...i went with the one that has the dust caps on all ports and on camera...the camera flap can be abit annoying when you go to take a pic and forget its on there...lol and you have to pull the end of the rubber casing aside a bit to get the charger to fit snug once its plugged in.. but over all i feel secure that the phone is well protected , might give the defender otterbox a try if it ever comes out...

Please keep pictures posted to the forum at a reasonable size. There is no real reason to post anything larger than 800 x 600. If you do wish to post something larger then please post it as an attachment.

Thank you.

All these cases look great!
I think I am going to go with one of the thinner ones, however my question is do any of these protect against the screen? I am pretty hard on phones and when I get the evo i will be dropping a pretty penny. Any suggestions on cases that protect the screen from shattering? Scratches?Yet still is somewhat thin? Does a "screen protecter" do this?

Ideas?

Thanks!

I actually have that case. For $10, it's pretty nice. The quality of the leather isn't quite as nice as the pictures make it look, but not bad at all. I feel that it really protects the phone well, but it's a bit of a pain having the flap. I'm a little undecided as to rather I'm going to keep it, because in some ways I would prefer to not have the cover flap since I already have the Zagg screen protector. However, it is a nice extra layer of protection for sure. It also comes with a holster, and although I haven't used that yet, it seems pretty well put together. Overall, a pretty good solution (especially for the price) if that is the type of case you're after. thedude

For those that might need room for a hard case or possibly an extended battery, I picked up

this leather (ish?) pouch case for my epic and thought it was a touch tight as it expanded the stretchy sides a bit. I realized it wasn't an epic "specific" case and tossed my evo in it and it was a perfect fit for a bare evo. The phone would easily slide in and out if it had no flip over cover. If I throw the Innocase on it snugs it up a touch. With the expanding sides and the slightly loose fit bare, I'd imagine it would do well with other cases or an extended battery. And it's under $5 shipped from Jersey, not Asia. Looks pretty good in person.

I really like the Seidio Rugged.

I upgraded from the Seidio Innocase II.

Much better with all these layers. It even feels better now...much easier to hold with all this border around the screen without hitting a button accidentally.

I would have bought the Otterbox Defender, but I discovered that the clear screen protector is integrated into the case, and not a removable screen protector as offered on their Commuter series.

The day after I discovered this, I ordered the Rugged, and I've had it for 5 days now. It's pretty damn sweet, and extremely solid feeling.

I wouldn't mind getting it a leather pouch instead of the belt clip it comes with. The Innocase II belt clip is better than the rugged belt clip IMHO. I am now in the market for a horizontal (or ratcheting clip) leather pouch that will fit an EVO wearing a Seidio Rugged case.

My thermoplastic polyurethane case came today. Assuming it's what the epic cases are like. Wasn't digging the argyle thing. I got the

smoke one on ebay for $8. Looks just like it does in their pics. Like it better than the Innocase II. For some reason it does feel a touch thinner than it as well. It's grippy and smooth at the same time and is much firmer than a silicone type case. The buttons are covered and they click no problem. The camera is slightly recessed, and there is plenty of space for the ports, speaker and so on. If you need that little extra coverage the snap on rear case doesn't provide. It's a good choice.

I looked at the Seidio innocase, too expensive. The Fishbone in red and black caught my eye, but too many negative reviews about fit. Bought one of these in smoke leopard print. The fit is near perfect and it protects everything it should. It even improves the power button. Possibly the best gadget case I've ever bought and the best $8 I've ever spent. My combo $5 leather holster+ $8 case totals $13, the similar Seidio Innocase+ holster combo is $55+shipping. Similar style and protection, vastly dissimilar cost. Seidio? Phooey!

That's still my favorite case, and I passed it along to the coworker that has my Evo now. She loves it. Was a ton thinner than the monstrosity she put on it, and she's already dropped it twice with at most a scuff on the case. And it wasn't any thicker than the Seidio either.

I'm still waiting for a case with a built in extra battery. I had one for my 3GS and it was really handy. I couldn't care less about the extra bulk, so worth it!

I went with the OEM Best Buy Platinum case, which I understand is made by Seidio. I really, really like it. Not much bulk, but seems like it would survive a minor drop, etc. Best of all, the case doesn't contain the belt clip. The case fits inside a holster (screen face in) while the case is on the phone. Very nice approach.

I started out with the Body Glove case which was nice and thin and used a screen protector from Sprint. I loved the thin Body Glove case but hear a lot about it breaking easily (mine is starting to get messed up) and want a good looking case

I wanted to get something more rugged (to protect my phone from my 2 yr old) so I got a Trident Case- The Case You Can't Refuse. Cyclops case (in Yellow) that had great protection, added only a little bit of bulk, but gave me a lot of issues with my proximity sensor that would leave me stuck on a call with no way of accessing the touchscreen to end the call. Also a few people had issues with the back lense protection affecting picture color/quality. I ended up returning it.

I really want a good looking case that is thin and protective. I didn't care for the Otterbox cases, Seidio is getting mixed reviews. Invisible Shield will only protect from scratches, not falls.

I'm on the fence about going with the Amzer Argyle TPU case since I'm a little weary about the material. I typically like hard cases but don't mind some extra padding inside.

I wish Speck would make an Evo case, I like their candyshell design they made for the iPod touch that I used to own, and the case they make for the HTC Incredible looks great IMO.

The tpu case is actually really nice. You don't have to get the argyle pattern either. For me it was a toss up between the seidio and the tpu. I didn't have any issues with scratching with the 2nd gen seidio and the fit is pretty solid. The tpu case fits like a glove, makes the buttons easier to access and does real well with impacts (counter height, from your lap). It is stiff yet flexible with just enough give to absorb impacts.
And it's cheap to boot.
