Accessories Best Incredible [Full] Screen Protector

I was curious about this as well. I watched a youtube video and it didn't look wet...just sticky but I've never applied a shield before so I have no idea what the Steinheil application process is actually called.

No, Steinheil's are the plastic, static cling variety of screen protector. Which unfortunately are also more prone to scratching. Protectors like Zagg, Phantom Skinz, etc are the rubbery, wet application variety. They are almost impossible to scratch.

So in short, no water is need to install a Steinheil.

Gotcha. Is there a reason the Steinheil is so popular round these parts? If it scratches easier, is there something that makes it stand out over the wet ones that scratch less?

It's definitely NOT supposed to be blurry.

Did you use too much soap? Was your water not clear?

Mine is clear as a whistle, you cannot even tell that there is anything on from most angles.

just a tiny bit of dishwashing soap, and i used bottled water

hmm i guess ill just wait 24hrs and c if it gets better

I know a lot of you complain about the quality of the Zagg InvisibleShields, but I think they're great to use for now until something better comes out. I've never used one before so I can't compare to other brands, but it is plenty adequate.

I had Best Buy install on the screen only of both mine and my husband's Incredibles, and the guy botched both of them. I didn't notice how bad they were until after I got home. I went back into the store a few hours later, and they were more than happy to redo them. I got a pro the 2nd time and they are flawless! No micro bubbles or anything. He did a fantastic job and I couldn't be more pleased.

looks like seido is very close to getting their full screen protectors out, they now have pics and prices on their site. I'm still waiting for steinheil but figured I'de let others know of another potential option.

I am taking a risk on an unknown (to me) product that I found on Amazon:
Amazon.com: Skinomi TechSkin - Invisible Screen Protector Shield for HTC Droid Incredible + LIFETIME REPLACEMENTS: Cell Phones & Service

Covers the whole screen and says it is "clear".

Already ordered it but does anyone have thoughts on this manufacturer?

I got these yesterday and installed one on my phone, but not my wife's phone. I wanted to make sure it worked before putting on both - and I wanted to compare the screen with a naked phone.

Bottom line is this screen looks great. Its very clear with no clouding, discoloration etc. I put my phone next to my wife's phone this morning on a screen that we have the same apps on and asked her which one was hers. She could not tell and I would not have been able to either had I not known.

The install process was a little nerve wracking in that this system uses a liquid which made me uptight. I also got uptight about the warnings on do not allow the liquid to get near the edges or track ball. Really? How is that possible? But when all was done it looks and works great and I would recommend it. I guess time will tell on its durability.

Boxwave for sure. I received an email form them saying that they would be available on may 7th. They will have it in crystal clear and clear touch anti-glare. Both are very nice i have used them on my last 4 phones. very happy with them.
you can see what hey have for the n1 right now for comparison.

I can't wait for Boxwave's. They're anti glare one is also like anti sludge. Hardly ever gets a finger print on it. Love it.

Been using PhantomSkinz for a few years now, just got their Incredible screen protector a few days ago, and it is spectacular. Covers the full screen with a circular cutout for the optical mouse. Once its all dry you barely even know its there, and it is thin enough that it doesn't get crap stuck to the edges.

What did you replace the Verizon screen protector with, and how does it compare? I just bought the Verizon 3-pack today to keep me covered till I find something better. Thanks in advance!

I replace with the Phantom Skinz product. I like it a lot better than the ZAGG that I had on my Storm, although I am seeing a little of the orange peel effect. I will most likely purchase a Steinheil Crystal Clear when they are available. This will do for the time being...

Has anyone here tried the Phantom Skinz product and the Steinheil crystal product (with other phones ofcourse). I'd be curious to hear how they compare with clarity, feel, fingerprints, smudges, etc. I've heard great things about both, but rarely any direct comparisons. I know the install is different but thats about it.

Just got my Ghost-Armor in the mail yesterday. Came with a bottle of spray and squeegee. I'm going to try and put it on this weekend.

I am new to the forum - ordered my Incredible last night. I order the Clarivue screen protectors - thanks everybody for their input.

You can get 10% off your order by using the code Clarivue7 at checkout. It saved me 1.30$ which is not much but it's something I guess.

I emailed customer service @ Phantom Skinz about the haze I'm getting on my screen and asked if it was ok to just reapply. They emailed me back and said the affects are not great if I did that. She also said she would ship me out another set today free of charge. :)

I want to know if anyone can recommend a brand that will provide a screen protector that has: anti-glare, fingerprint resistant, and does not hinder the screen and its sensitivity/responsiveness.

Thanks!

Just ordered a 1 pack of Boxwave ClearTouch Crystal shield. I have heard good things about it. Here is the link.

Just got a reply back from Phantomskinz. I bought the matte full body kit, but the screen part suppose to be clear not matte. So they are sending me a clear one.

Good customer service.

Went out and bought a Zagg Invisishield yesterday at Best Buy.

Applied it last night and this morning I am noticing stretch marks towards the bottom of the shield.

Also noticed some lint, damnit.

May take it off tonight, clean it off with the left over fluid, and re-apply it.

Aside from the stretch marks, love the skin.

I asked before but never got an answer: are Clarivue, Boxwave, and Steinheil anti-fingerprint protectors all identical products? Aside from price is there a reason to get one over the other?
