Best Launcher for DX (Including Free Ones)

So what do you guys think is the best launcher for the dx? ADW Launcher, Launcher Pro, HE Launcher, Home++, GO Launcher or what?

I tried ADW and did not really like it...its been awhile since I used it. I have LPP and love the widgets that come with it. The calender widget is awesome along with the FB widget. As of right now I would say LPP is the best out there for now. I installed Go Launcher and did not car for it very much. Just my .02cents

I rocked LPP since I got my DX on launch day. I felt that since I paid for it I shouldn't ditch it. Well the other day my phone was just bugging down for some reason and I decided to take a plunge and uninstall LPP and install Go Launcher. I really like the long press pop ups for the icons; the up/down screen gestures; the amount of screens and how easily they're added and removed; but I'd say the coolest feature is the app drawer. It's semi transparent and if you don't specify a background for it it uses your wallpaper. It has different configs for organizing apps along with three tabs: all, recent, and running. Moving icons/widgets from one screen to another is really nice as well since you can drag the icon/widget to the edge and the screen previews show up and you just drop the item on the screen you want. The ONLY thing I miss are the LPP widgets. Mainly the agenda widget. If anyone knows of something close to that please LMK. I'm currently using jorte and its nice but the LPP agenda widget was just so well executed with its easy month-to-month scrolling and easy switching to events. But I'm really diggin' Go launcher.

Whatever launcher you end up with, once you decide to stick with it, use home switcher (or a similar app) to switch to blur to delete all the apps from your screens. Even tho you can't see them, they continue to run in the background, slowing down your phone.

I've used LP since I've gotten my phone, but GO seems pretty awesome. I'll definitely have to play around with it.

Thanks for the posts' guys. Ive used launcher pro mainly, but cant tell a whole lot of difference between it and adw but i dont have the paid versions. I tried out go launcher and i could tell a difference, i really like how they have their drawer.

Is there any way to backup homescreens on Go? I didn't see an option in preferences and TBU didn't work. Screen backups are the best feature of LP imo.

Tried Go but it kept taking a long time to load when going to it thru the Home button. Also the "alphabetical" listing of apps in app drawer is, well confusing at best.

Other than that it's pretty good. Trying ADW now. Like it so far except for the goofy scrolling in app drawer.

I used home switcher to switch to Lpp as my default.. is there anything else I need to do to make sure those background tasks are closed?

I downloaded GO because I.was going to give it a shot when I had time, I had to uninstall it because it would always take me to GO when I hit home instead of lpp that was set as my default launcher and it was such a pain to find home switcher to get back to lpp. I never had this problem with lpp, adw, pr blur launchers

Using GO launcher, have used adw that came with apex, didn't really like that one too much. go is great just kinda buggy right now. i'm having a bunch of redraws with it.

I never hit the "use this as default" and still have the choice of which launcher to use when hitting the Home button.

I imagine the app just does this same thing?

If you deleted them you should be good. You also could boot into recovery and delete your cache to be rid of the last remnants of those apps.

LPP was nice.. until it started causing my phone to be sluggish at times. It *may* also have been the culprit of soft reboots. Ever since I uninstalled it and moved to try out ADW Ex, my phone has been flying. I always found alternatives to LPP's widgets to be nicer.. so I don't miss them.

I've been rocking ADWLauncher EX and while its slightly pricey for a launcher (seeing how there are some pretty good free ones) I have to say I like it the best. Snappy, clean and very, very customizable. It's all around and excellent launcher.

I used LP for awhile but I must say I am really starting to like GL. Kind of buggy yet but that'll be fixed in an update. I like that you can select a picture for your app drawer. In the words of Miley Cyrus, "That's, pretty cool".
