Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

Well, I went for it. I installed the monster.zip, then rebooted, went into recovery, reinstalled the monster.zip (to get the GPS working), then installed the correct version of gapps. So far so good.

So your GPS works? I did. It how. U did and no gps

So the "monster" file will address any GPS issues?

I installed the initial beta and it went real smooth, just weather widget updates are fickle (probably due to GPS).

Yes it will, the only thing not working for me is the Quadrant Standard app, it gets an internal error when it gets to the video decoding -h.264 step in the first CPU section,

Does tethering work with CM7? Just spent a day putting my phone back together after upgrading to .596. Not really ready to do it all over again, but having the ability to tether might be a motivator for me!

I installed using the sbf method. My GPS doesn't seem to be working and my fancy widget won't update location.

Just installed and having no issues (other than the known camera issue). Working on getting everything restored right now, but this seems really slick. I used the 1 step Monster, which is really two step to get the GPS working ;).

I am hoping that there will be an easy camera fix come down in the next couple of days. I don't use it a bunch, but I like having it. Most of the reason is to put a picture on twitter or something like that.

This is some really great work. Since I have not heard an 4G date for where I am at and there is nothing to blow the X's hardware out of the water yet this is still my phone for the foreseeable future. I am very happy!

Ok, I'm tempted to give this a look. So say with the monster.zip install, can you later restore a Nandroid of .596 Apex RC2 or do you have to SBF and start over the path to GB, Rom install, ect... ?

I really want to flash this, but I do use my camera. I am going to hold out for as long as I can until it gets more polished. The temptation is there though.

GPS doesn't work. Maps does but navigation does not. Anything that requires location fails for me as well. Fancy Widgets etc
