Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

That's very similar to what I'm getting these days as long as I have good signal. Battery life is definitely improving. If the new update improves the radio... score! :D

I've posted this a couple of times with no response. So here goes again....I have a radio update I haven't flashed that will update the radio to .12 which is what we were all running prior to flashing back to Froyo to install this. Has anyone installed this update yet? And if so, has it improved signal and battery life. Has it killed anyone's device? Anyone? Bueller?

I updated my radio to the .12 release at one point.

I had quirky problems with WiFi and 3G that may well have been unrelated to the radio version, especially since that was back in the early nightlies of CM7. However, I flashed back and haven't upgraded since.

That said, the radio did work with .12 just fine, it didn't kill my phone, and you can always SBF to downgrade it again. I didn't get much signal improvement. Battery life is unknown because, like I said, it was early in the CM7 builds.

Other than battery life that's all over the charts, I love the way my phone is set up and really would rather not go through the "pain" of SBF'ing and redoing everything again so I'm trying to avoid that. Thanks for your input.

Sorry. Not everyone's here all the time. Keep asking till you get your answer! :D

I seem to get better signal with the .07 radio (and by extension better battery life). It definitely won't kill your device. I think the .07 radio might be more optimized to work with the Moto's Froyo kernel.

The time i did that i did not notice better signal or anything, i seem to get better signal of .07

Had an interesting day. Decided to see how long my battery would last. Took it off the charger at 8am but at 6pm, I still had 85% so I gave up.

Also built CM4DX from the Team Douche source (it's surprisingly easy). I was trying to copy all of Moto's proprietary drivers from .596 but that doesn't work; the extract-file.sh process only seems to work with CM based roms.

Going to try to understand how 2nd init is implemented in CM4DX.

Damn! I got 13 hrs yesterday - pretty heavy usage though so I really can't complain. Sent WELL over 100 texts, emails, WWF and was using the music player for 4 hours.

I think that's very good battery life (especially if you're on the standard battery). I might need to redefine my "heavy" usage lol.

Looking at the upcoming change log for tonight, it looks like the Torch fix is now merged into the tree. Also a lot of other fixes, such as hidden SSID searching, Bluetooth PAN, and some Wi-Fi fixes.

yea, interested in the wifi and bluetooth stuff.

the torch fix is only a partial fix for us though. will still need my fix zip.

@razorloves:

got through the source files. Very interesting stuff. Really makes me appreciate the work Cvpcs put into this.

I really want to re- flash this but I need my HD video. I haven't been on since cm7 since nightly 11. :(

That screenshot I took with 22hours was on the standard battery. And my heavy usage is forum posting for hours, sending loads of texts and most definitely music.

Someone posted on a different forum that the LGCamera would record in 720p. I have installed it but have not looked up what settings were needed for it to be 720p. However it is a nice camera and camcorder. Need to spend some time to figure out what the right settings are.

UPDATE: This does not look to record in 720p (that is what I get for coming here first and other forums later). However it is still a nice camera and camcorder.
