Might I recommend bundling up your issues into one thread? You currently have 6 threads on just this one page ALL relating to CM7 problems. There's a CM7 thread already to discuss it in, where other people with similar problems will find it useful, and creating all of these threads just pushes other useful threads down the page.

my bad. i was thinking this would be better/easier for people.

Bundling them all up causes people to have to read through every page in order to find the issue they are dealing with.

This is going to be a popular thread (CM7) with maybe 50+ pages. It's going to be completely inconvenient to have to go through every page to find one issue.

The forum already has a built-in burying algorithm, so if stuff gets pushed down, it gets pushed down. if my threads get pushed down, then so be it.

This is the hottest issue right now anyways. Plus, it allows for convenient searching later on.

But if the mods feel like merging them, go ahead. They are separate issues, and will make things harder to find imo, but it's their call.

To install the Radio **** Must be done for GPS to work***
After intial install of CM7

1) hold down power button and select reboot and then recovery
2) in recovery select "install zip from sdard"
3) select "chose zip from sdcard"
4) find the Monster.zip and install
5) Reboot phone

If its on your sd card it will remain there, I'm getting ready to one step myself I weren't into bootstrap to make sure its there and in astro file manager
 
Well I attempted to download and install last night. Downloaded from the first link and the file was bad so I used the second one. Got into bootstrap and installed it, rebooted and nothing but the motorola logo. Tried pulling the battery and restarting, same thing. And tried a hard reset and it still didnt work. At this point it was 1 in the morning and I didnt have the energy to stay up and sbf so I thought I would this morning, but I cant even get the phone into the bootloader.. is it still volume down + the power button? It went into the bootloader for probably 10 seconds and said battery was low and it could not be programmed. I left it plugged in all night with the motorola logo up hoping it would have done something. But as of now i dont even know if its charging when connected to a computer or outlet. Kinda scared I finally bricked my phone for good. Right now its plugged into my computer and the green notification light is on, i dont know if that means anything. But I would sure love some help.
 
it doesnt take long to sbf back to froyo to do this, i did, and if you have a good wifi connection your apps should download asap. :p but a good method to go from gb to cm7 and back is a good thing to have

I usually feel like the "search within thread" feature is better because you KNOW you're searching within a certain topic instead of hitting a bunch of different topics that might share the same keyword(s).

That said... My suggestion was partly preference (I like the search within thread feature, maybe others don't), and partly how this board generally runs (merging and categorizing is big here), but at least you gave it some consideration and I'm not a mod, so we'll let them decide ;)
 
Well, I went for it. I installed the monster.zip, then rebooted, went into recovery, reinstalled the monster.zip (to get the GPS working), then installed the correct version of gapps. So far so good.
 
so question i flashed got radio error reflashed activated the phone and all is well except i dont have my gapps, every fileshare site i try to get it from at my job is blocked! so i went to rom manager on the phone and downloaded the right one but how do i install it everytime i download it and follow the next prompt to boot to recovery to install them i cannot find them on my sd card....how do i get my gapps!!!!

If you downloaded it directly to your phone it would be in the download folder on your sd card.
 
So far so good. Actually I'm loving it. It just feels different and snappier not having blur running underneath. I did the monster zip (can't sbf because I'm at school right now and wasn't waiting to install it). Its seriously rocking. Loving all the options.

Btw I don't know if anyone else tested it but I can confirm that 3rd party cameras don't work either.
