And listening. I'm with Vzw and have downloaded several apps to record calls. Everyone says the same something like "this app can't be downloaded, already a service recording"!! I was sure to uninstall each app before downloading another. Has anyone else experienced this? If not heads up!

As far another person recording my phone conversation is concerned, I'm not worried. As I live in California, all parties must consent to the recording in order for it to be admissible in a court of law.

No, this is not a state thing it's the feds. It's been all over the news about them invading our privacy and recording calls.

Chances are high you agreed to the recording when you sign your wireless contract. Probably had it buried in the fine print or something.

Please note I said "another person". That is handled by state law.

Corporations and governments are handled by entirely different set of laws. And there is nothing on anyone's phone that is recording as far those entities are concerned. It is all enabled at the head end where a user can't touch it.

No That couldn't be it, I never had any problems with my old Dinc and used voice record to record calls. I bought another phone on the same grandfathered in contract.

Sorry, I just overread. This is what I'm talking about.

ive been inspired to create a full lead phone case for the paranoid user... think ill get any kick-starts? ;)

Well, they probably used a third-party device such as satellite to do this work, it has nothing to do with your phone

Just using the internet "they" know where you are. Unless you go back to an Apple // or never pay with a credit card or send payments online, its pointless worrying about privacy in this day and age. There used to be forum images folks used as signature pics which told anyone looking at them their data

"Your computer's IP is xxx.xxx.x.x
You are using Linux, yay!
Your trace route is xxxxx"

Used to see them constantly

Meh I am not worried, my calls are pretty damn boring, minus work related, but my customers are already the major cell phone companies, so I guess it is like an endless loop...
