RT @_mrbirdman_: eFuse? BAH! Try that good ole QFUSE!

Care to explain lol :o

Looks like 2 different things to me. CVPS is developing the Obsidian rom, while Birdman and others are apparently working on the bootloader.

From their tweets its kinda implied that they are making some progress or have an approach that may work to hijack the boot process.

Some sort of substance was released with incalculable pressure just now. Any links on the sources?? Sorry I don't have twitter

Here's a tweet from Birdman just a little bit ago, followed by one from alldroid...

Fun fact: you need to spoof ext3 filesystem headers when reformatting the X or you'll engage certificate checks on /system :D 11:40 PM Sep 14th via Twitter for Android

i read that from cvpcs twitter.

sounds interesting

Birman's latest updates made it sound like he knows how to do it and has the files, but can't exactly find where they should go. I'm sure he (and others) will figure it out and we MAY have an unlocked bootloader soon.

At that point I'm interested to see how many other kernel devs and customizers jump on the x that previously wrote it off and said they wouldn't be doing anything for it.

A guy named nenolod figured it out but he
@TheRealBeesley *shrug* full docs are now out for everyone to see. all it takes is for someone to cook the update.zip, which is easy.

more from nenolod

... right now, the NVRAM is unlocked when a new baseband update is flashed, with recovery or by SBF or whatever. so make your edits in a ... baseband update, boom instant unlock. but since i brought this up, motorola will probably patch that hole too. so whoever publicly releases an update.zip that does the bogus baseband update gets the prize. personally i do not have time or motivation. i should mention: carrier lock is also controlled in nvram. so you can do instant carrier unlock at the same time that you do bootloader.
I am sure birdman was one of those guys
one of his latest tweets was
mrbirdman_

i have the keys to the car, but the car is lost in the largest parking lot ever & the parking lot is full of cars that look the same.

yea I saw that....Birdman reached out to koush with his most recent tweet so hopefully this gets figured out soon

I sure hope so, but I do truly believe it will happen. Now if at this point no one had made any progress still then I would be worried. Why couldn't of nenolod highlighted what birdman needs:D That would make it easier

Totally agree with you, he knows exactly "where the car is parked", but is just standing idly by while birdman and many others look for it.
