Bionic vs Other Verizon Android Options

With the uncertainty of when the Bionic will release (among other contributing factors), many people are looking to see what other options lie ahead. The Thunderbolt officially launced today, and is a solid choice. We know that the Droid X2, Droid 3, and Droid Incredible 2 should be here during the summer (when most D1 owners will have their available upgrades, which seem to make up a large portion of the traffic here). Then there's the LG Revolution, and Samsung Stealth that should drop even before those. And now there's a new Android ready to drop it's name in the hat: the Motorola Targa. Below is a link of the leaked images of the 3 Motorolas.

[Update] Motorola Droid 3, Droid X 2, and Targa Show their Stuff in Leaked Images | Android Phone Fans

Right now, we can only speculate on any of these phones specs (besides the Bionic, and LG Revolution; Samsung Stealth isn't concrete). Do you require that your next phone be 4G or dual core? If the diff in these phones are minimal, is it worth it to wait it out, or jump on the Bionic?

Verizon really needs to step up their android lineup as other carriers are getting so many decent new phones ahead of them this year. Tbolt alone won't cut it. I think they should get dual core phones from HTC, Samsung, LG soon, which their current road map doesn't show any indication for now.

Those new wave of Moto's Droids sounds all good, but I'm still not sure if Targa is the real thing or fake. Its image that surfaced yesterday look quite suspicious like from photoshop. For me, I am willing to live with locked bootloader but that ugly Motoblur UI is real deal breaker for me.

Good call on Targa photoshop. I just noticed the date says 01/2010 which is very suspicious. It also says charging but there doesn't appear to be a charger in the charging port.

The HTC dual core qHD phone coming soon to Sprint looks good when it comes to Verizon. I just hope they do not use a pentile matrix like the Atrix and Bionic.

Was reading a couple articles on Phandroid, apparently the newest HTC phones are going to be 1.2GHz dual core snapdragons. Same qHD screen, thought. Actually, the Pyramid might not even be that (but that's slated to go to AT&T).

Unless waiting until late summer or fall, the other vzw options use older chipset tech and you also run high and near certain risk of no unlimited 4g. It will probably be gone by then.

Hmm.

I thought I read an article where it said the Dual Core Snapdragon's are not as fast as the Tegra 2's...
