So has anyone got Google voice voicemail working yet?

***Nevermind, got it working after uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times

I do use a live aquarium wallpaper...it's black with 1 turtle swimming around...

I will try uninstalling my task manager though

Also - does anyone else notice that the search hard button doesn't work from the homescreen?

Mine works same as always. What's the problem again? I know they just recently changed how you dial out and (from the little I've read) it doesn't have to call your GV number like it used to.

I called my GV # and my normally number and both got put on the GV website and both sent it from GV to my phone as txt msg.

I use that one also it's not on my resource hog list:D
 
This new ROM has really been a bit of a letdown...I'm going back to my backup created this morning as we speak.
 
So, for a huge noob like me, can somebody break down exactly what this rom does and its benefits? What do I really gain from it? From everything read here it just looks like it removes bloatware, which I can deal with myself.

Well I wasn't expecting a lot but man come on removing Swype for some personal ROM makers vs Swype war? Who thinks Swype is bloatware? And Voice search?

Just goes to show you one mans bloat is another mans wife....opp I mean cool app. :D
 
Search in general is broken, I find. If you try to search using the browser's address bar, it will FC everytime.

Swype is taken out since in the past, they have gotten angry with devs that packaged it in with their ROMs (on the D1).
 
There is no voice input at all, is there an apk that I can install it with. If I can add voice input I'll stick with this for a while, if not I will be going back to the leaked 2.2. I use voice input all the time and can't live without it
 
I am getting FC's from Swype. I think it might have something to do with using an APK from .604 and not from 2.2. I moved the APK to /system/app and then installed it. mounted R/O and rebooted. I tried to set swype as the input method and it just FCs. What gives?
 
had this rom installed since 9:00 am and i am loving it. search button doesnt work but everything else does. heres my benchmark :)

i was going to jump right in and install flyx but given the issues in this first release and that im running deodexed 2.2 already i figured id hold off. my quadrant score is consistently 1500 already and all possible bloat frozen with tibu.

having said that, im excited to see v0.2 and on as well as birdmans vanilla froyo in the near future. i appreciate everything he and the other hard working and awesome devs do for the android community. they deserve all the support we can muster

From the market, install "Google Search" and "Voice Search" by google. That should get all the voice stuff back. :)

I tried that, there was still no mic button on my keyboard. I'm back on the leaked Froyo for now. I will probably just stick with this until we get a Vanilla Froyo ROM. Glad to see we are actually getting ROMs now though!
