Yes. The deodexed ROM has had the properties file modified prior to imaging the ROM. So if you downloaded it, you must manually go in and edit the file or download the original prop file and replace the deodexed version.

The only positive thing the modification seems to do is give higher benchmark scores. But it also breaks video playback. So the negative is much worse than the positive IMHO.
 
Well I went and maunnally changed everything to false and I still get the same scores...whatever, dont really care about benchmarks..Ill use both and see which I like better.

if you haven't done a reboot yet since change the stagefright settings then the scores will stay the same. after the reboot you'll notice the change. wasn't trying to be rude, just pointing it out. the highest quadrant i get is in the low 1500s, although id assume if i took off all the widgets it d be a bit higher
 
I'm going back to my deodexed rooted froyo 2.2 backup. I like the first try of FlyX, but I need my search and voice commands.
 
My backup is basically what you have already brother... I stripped mine down and streamlined it. Smoking fast in the 1500+ quadrants and still have my voicemail, voice controls and other goodies.

Swype is taken out since in the past, they have gotten angry with devs that packaged it in with their ROMs (on the D1).

Yeah I gathered it was something like that. But Swype is really one of those cool things that sells the phone. Give someone a good demo of Swype and they're amazed.

Beside I can't live without it :D

Oh well, I got it re installed and I have your NexTheme also installed. Its working good and looking good now.

You have the wrong apk If you need the right one I have one. I had to go back to before flyx pull the apk reflash back to flyx and install swype. I can save you a few steps if you want as I have the swype.apk saved.

Does the switch pro light use just the LCD screen for the light or should it be the LED?

switch pro works with the screen OR the led. at first it wouldnt even turn the screen on, now i reboot it and it DOES turn the screen on, but it wont drive the LED (i think its something to do with being a droid 2 rom)

anyways, another flashlight app will drive the led, but if you rotate the phone so that the screen rotates to desktop mode, it will stop working as well..

hopefully we get real 2.2 this week

The Tesla LED app works with the screen turned in any direction with 2.2.

This one also works great with Widget locker. If you setup a custom slider in Widget Locker and use Tesla as your flashlight the slider toggles the light on and off. This works great for finding those keys in the dark and you can turn it on and off without ever unlocking the phone. Unlike the other flashlight apps I've found Tesla is the only one I can do that with. (I think it's written by the same person/s that did Widget locker)

I have mine setup the same way, very handy.
