Black Friday

Awesome. very nice. I've had good luck with amazon so far (fingers crossed).
Unfortunately, I have no computer hardware budget (or software for that matter....)...

Still, good deals get me feeling good. When you save more than you spend (for example), I feel like 'I win'. :D
 
After seeing videos on Youtube of Black Friday chaos... I'm thankful that I wasn't out there. lol
 
I didnt go till late afternoon, crowd had pretty much died down plus I live litertly 3 minutes away so I said what the hell i'll pass by. Glad I went got some great blu-ray movies for 5 bucks. They had almost an endless supply of blu-ray movies.
I ended up getting The lord of the ring trilogy extened cut blu-ray for 49 bucks.

Are you sure you weren't out there? I heard some woman was out there spraying people with pepper spray in order to get the last android phone on sale.....

Everyone ready for Cyber Monday? Are you looking for anything in particular? I'm looking forward to seeing the specials, but I already spent about $400 this past weekend. I need to pace myself...

Could be worse, I almost bought the Verizon Xoom for $199 on Friday but I couldn't get a definitive answer from Verizon's sales if the contract starts on the day I purchase the tablet or when the gift recipient opens it on Christmas so I waited till Saturday so I could go to the store only to find out that the price had gone up to $299 and they wouldn't offer it to me at their sale price.


I still find it odd that Verizon will charge you for data if you purchase one of their devices to give away as a Christmas present on the day you purchase the device, not the day the gift recipient activates it. So in essence you're throwing away a month of data.


Oh and I'm looking forward to see what Newegg has to offer.

Wow, what a lousy deal. Shame on Verizon for that. You'd think it would be possible for their system to not fully 'activate' a device until a specified date.

Oh speaking of black friday (and cyber monday), probably picked up a dozen movies friday (including heroes season 1 for $8 (regular is somewhere around $20)), and if I recall right our savings was much more than our amount spent. Which is a win in my books.

At BestBuy our system is set up to allow future activation dates for this very reason. Most people don't even know we can do it and someone rarely takes advantage of it, but it is possible with us :cool:. Just another of the many advantages of purchasing your phone/tablet at BestBuy :D

Soo...I'm bad :( sooo soo bad...I bought some stuff for Cyber Monday *sigh*...the sales was 'too good' to resist :( I lost my earbuds when I was in the USA for Thanksgiving *coughs* Black Friday *cries* So I *coughs* need to replace them.

So, I ordered the Senheiser HD228 for $48 caused it's soooo pretty....and I have always wanted a headphone (earbuds gal here). I'm not sure if I like the white though...it'll definitely stand out against my long black hair, lol.

I found the Klipsch S4A's kind of nice. I have a pair of S4s and the S4As are supposed to be android compatible. Unfortunately, they weren't on sale.

I must admit, I'm not really thrilled with the Cyber Monday offerings this year. I didn't really see anything that caught my eye except maybe Verizon offering the 4G Xoom again for $199.
 
I'm getting these for Christmas: Bluetooth stereo headphones (I have to buy them since I get a big discount)

They are guaranteed sweat proof, and I quit working out when my last Bluetooth headset broke due to sweat, so hopefully this will help get me back into the gym :D

I have this pair

Hopefully the new set has better audio than the pair I have. The volume seems a little low and the fit isn't that great, but I love not dealing with wires during my workouts.

I've talked to a couple people that own the set I'm getting. Apparently when you are moving the sound automatically gets louder like SCV in a car which would be awesome while running.

After Christmas I'll report back with my own experience with then, but it sounds like they work great from everyone I have talked to

It's not also a hands free BT earphones :/ That's what I also want with my earphones, so I can pick up calls when I am jogging.

My pair have a function where all inbound calls and system noises are heard on the headset so I'd imagine the newer version has the hands free calling as well. With mine, only the right speaker plays (and I believe it also has a mic on it) so that you're not in violation of any traffic laws that don't allow you to have both ears occupied while driving.
