I find it hard to believe that Verizon did not give the different release dates to BB so that they can go forward with their ads. On top of that look at what Verizon did just last week at releasing their own ads and then pulling them. To me this is all one big mess that Verizon has created by giving dates in the first place. I understand the pressure they have in trying to get their devices out and the marketing aspect of it but they need to make sure their devices are ready to go before giving any dates IMO.

Agreed. It is what individual employees do with whatever info they "perceive" that I have issue with.

But, it isn't that important to continue to keep this thread off topic.

I do appreciate things that people like Jay and Panda do.

What exactly did I fuel? I post only things put in our systems and available to us. Never have I once speculated or postulated a guess on to a release date and given that as gospel.

Your imagination is what fuels the hysteria, not the messenger delivering what little information there is.

Hey, if you take what I say, which I always preface with "Take this for what it's worth, very little" and run home and take it as the gospel truth, that sounds like a you problem.

Sounds like you did if you're sitting here saying people like me are causing the hysteria. There are some people out there who post things as if they're the 100% truth and that's what's going to happen, but I'm not one of those, and neither is BMX

Reread what I said. I didn't say you caused it all. I said you CERTAINLY have part of the responsibility for getting people (not me) riled up about the release. I wouldn't have said anything about it, until you continued to pass the buck up to verizon.

Look, if you want to blame others and live low on the ladder of accountability, that is fine, I don't care.

I simply stated my opinion on the facts as I saw them. You started an entire thread based on the premise that this phone had a street date of 2/21, which you did NOT say "take it for what it is worth, nothing," and then blamed everyone else when it didn't happen. Along with that, anyone that disagreed with you, you gave crap to. I am simply saying, that there is a lot of egg for faces to go around, and yours is one of them. Maybe I am wrong. It doesn't matter in the end.

Verizon didn't release a date, jayishere did.

There is no point arguing about who is to blame anymore, so I will agree to disagree and say nothing else on the matter.
 
I never said it had a street date of 2/21. That was the best buy in stock date, in our system...which is STILL the in stock date in our system. I said there was NO Street Date in best buy's RSS system, which there still isn't. I have only passed on information that was documented in best buy's emails/RSS system.

I don't make up dates, don't need to.

Copied this directly from the FIRST page of the Best Buy Details thread: Please read.

Ok, so I just checked our system as of now, this minute, our IN STOCK date is 2-21-11. That leads me to believe release is the rumored 2-24-11. or 2-22-11...we don't release the same day stuff comes in though.

Also, there is no street date, so technically best buy can sell as soon as it comes in, but I'll keep an eye on it.

This is very true. All he ever said was that his computers showed them coming in on the 21st. No need to argue on here over a release date, it will be here soon enough, just be patient a little longer and get along ;)
