Root BobZhome ThunderC Kernel

Hey everyone got more questions! Alright so I was doing some work, and research for ICS. More or less on the kernel developement for it, and I stumbled upon a forum post about a kernel(ThunderC). According to the poster it is a 2.6.35 Gingerbread based kernel, that is also compiled and made for the OV. Now I was wondering if anyone has used this kernel before, and if it is a 2.6.35 kernel.

If anyone could tell me the experience with this kernel, and how it performs, I would be extremely thankful. Thanks guys :D!

And yes I have a small obsession over kernels... and Linux for the matter :3

We have been using a Froyo based kernel on the Optimus V for over a year now. Currently, tdm is working on a .35 kernel, and hopes to have it ready sometime next week, but we still don't know if it will work with Gingerbread or only ICS.

Of course, over time we can get it to work with Gingerbread, however, the current kernel by BobZhome is actually quite good, so all efforts on the kernel side are focused on ICS for the time being!

Note- BobZhome uses chaos_defconfig, if you want to check out his awesome sauce. ;)

If I decide to flash another kernel (tvall, for example) and then decide I want to go back to 2.6.32.9-v3.7 (Bobzhome), where can I download it? Thanks in advance.

You could just flash the rom again. BobZhome has posted his kernel on android central a few times. If you have an account there, search. If not (I don't recommend getting one), I'll see if I can find it.

Looking on my android central now, and yeah, I really don't like android central at all.

EDIT: I only found 1 link, and it 404'd. :(

So, if I flash tvall's kernel, then say Link2SD doesn't work, if I want to switch back to something that can run Link2SD, that would be it?
